Honestly what Dwight as done doesn't compare in all to what lebron did, fine he had the "decision" but he also raised what? 2 milli for the the boys and girls club? He didn't play games, say trade me / don't trade me, this or that, he stood quiet, made his announcement and kept it moving, Dwight had all this drama, this feud with his coach / GM / organization and couldn't attend his own basketball camp? The Cavs could've kept lebron had they made the effort to put talent around him, rather than crap, Remember when they had chances to trade for Bosh? You're right their situations are different but the rest of your post is absurd. What does raising money have to do with anything? He could've donated that out of his pocket. And the decision in itself was a big game. Having a live show that had people waiting around/guessing who you were gonna sign with. What the hell is that? And if you think the Cavs had a snowball's chance in hell to keep LeBron you're delusional.

Had the Cavs given him a competitive team, yes I think he would've stayed, why wouldn't he? born and raised in Ohio, dude was a god in his state and did no wrong, everyone loved lebron. Bring a chip home? Of course he would've stayed, but the Cavs played games, gave him **** "talent" and expected for him to do it on his own, everyone needs help, no single player can win it on their own.

The 2nd of the consecutive years (think it was bron's last there) that the Cavs had the best record in the league in the regular season all season long analysts said "that's why this team was put together, to win LeBron a title." When they lost, the only thing that was said was he didn't have any help. That no help ish had gotten so old it was ridiculous. When he gave up against Boston or whoever that was and when he was missing free throws and passing the ball to scrubs late in the game it was never his fault. LeBron was given diplomatic immunity while in Cleveland by virtue of "not having help" even though they won 60+ games in the regular season.

EXACTLY. In 2007 the Cavs had Larry Hughes avg 15 ppg, Big Z avg 12 ppg and 8rebounds , Gooden averaged 11 ppg and 8.5 rebounds, they werent exactly bums

Look, you're clearly gonna cry all year, I can see that already by the last 20 posts of yours, that's fine, don't try to understand it, but it's their plan. They let Anderson go for pretty much nothing, same deal here. They are trying to reduce salary. And how, exactly, is their cap number the same without getting rid of J-Rich, Clark and Duhon? That's an extra 10-12 million gone, is it not? On top of the almost 20 they would have to pay Dwight, or 16-17 to Bynum. Taking on Iggy wouldn't do anything, they shed money, and tank like hell to get that #1 and start over. Why do you struggle with this? As Mike already said and I repeated, Al's deal is like half guaranteed, as in, he could be flipped or cut at lower cost than his deal reads, does this still confuse you?

They are saving a lot more money than you are getting. The deals that get done now are not always going to be man for man, straight equal value. They got less than what Melo cost, and D-Will, etc, yes, but those teams also didn't go full rebuild, they tried to move forward with talent they already had. Notice, Denver or Utah never tanked to get a #1, they merely added extra picks and drafted in the early to mid first round, rather than top of the first round.

And Affalo at 8 mil, vs Gordon at 13-15 mil, doesn't seem all that bad to me. So the CP3 and D12 deals aren't all that dissimilar. Gordon is the better player, sure, and also almost double the countract in a couple years, so I mean.....

Mo Williams, Z, and Varajeo suck? Boobie Gibson didnt explode for 31 points as a rookie against the Pistons? Larry Hughes didnt avg 15 ppg as a Cav? I'm not saying they are NBA stars, but they are definitely solid role players, and were obviously good enough to help get that team to the best record in the NBA

of course they are a 30 win team, but DWill only got the Nets 24 last year. They needed a star to make them the top team in the NBA, but that doesnt mean that he didnt have any help.

That was a real TEAM in Cleveland. You think Danny Green, Tiago Splitter, Kawai Leonard, Matt Bonner, Dejuan Blair and Gary Neal are much better than what Bron had? No but they continue to finish near the top of a really good Western Conference because they play as a team. Now that we've been spoiled by superstars teaming up a lot of people have lost sight of that. The Nuggets, Pacers, Sixers, Bulls and Grizzlies are all teams that still have that team mindset and remain competitive.

Now that we've been spoiled by superstars teaming up a lot of people have lost sight of that. The Nuggets, Pacers, Sixers, Bulls and Grizzlies are all teams that still have that team mindset and remain competitive.

Spurs have a big 3 in Timmy / Manu / Parker .... So of course the rest is gonna be filled out with role players. As for the pacers , nuggets, sixers and grizz, you take out each of those teams starting SF and replace them with lebron , those teams are way better than the Cavs teams, head and shoulders.
