You don't think the wolves would let Kevin Love walk, son they are GARBAGEE!!!! Smh they couldn't even keep KG what makes you think it's gonna be any different....You heard it from himself during the Olympics he wants to be a championship contender def not in MINNESOTA! That's like Nazareth of the North :lol

But giving up those players for Pau actually makes the Raptors worse. Hell, I'd take Ed Davis over Pau at this point

Worse than 4-14. Oh boy, how ever will they survive? Maybe they should take it, so they can keep their pick.

thats the point, why give up the 2 building blocks they have in Lowry and Bargs?

if I was the Raps i would offer Calderon and Fields. Both those players would actually fill a need for the Lakers as well

Building blocks? While Lowry is very good, and I can see it.. Bargs is a building block :lol Lowry is committed long term to the Raptors?

I guess you guys didn't read that the Lakers declined Calderon & Bargnani. But Ok. Moving on.

I said Calderon and Fields, its closer to market value although I still think the Raps are giving up too much

You gotta be joking about fields right?!?! He's a bum

so is Pau though, hence why he is sitting on the bench with chronic vaginitis

Essential1 you're saving Pau again, stop it :lol "building block" Bargnani & Lowry >>>>>> Pau. Pau is a variation of Odom right now, and he's a vastly declining slow as molasses 7footer, who's heart and soul is in shambles. That trade is pure robbery and nothing else. Does that put the Lakers over the top? Nope, but they'd get more athletic and tougher (especially at the PG position) , and you'd leave the Raptors with a lump of coal, regardless of the Raptors already poor record.

I would say Pau is pretty irrelevant right now as well though, which is why he is currently THIRD STRING behind Jamison and Earl Clark.......EARL CLARK

Kevin Love
Lamarcus Aldridge
Josh Smith
Z Bo
Blake
Ibaka
Ryan Anderson
Bosh
David West
Larry Sanders
Nene
Faried
Tim Duncan
Dirk
David Lee

are all PF's that I would take over Pau at this stage of his career, and thats not including Lebron and Melo who are playing PF right now....but yall want a top tier PG for him?

I always forget Pau is a PF instead of a center, so that would make any Pau praise even worse :lol

Essential looks at Pau the same way Daryl Morey did. The business of basketball. Pau is a star no matter what you say. Bargs ain't and Lowry ain't either. The heads know what's good with Lowry, but that's about it. The Raptors get Pau and suddenly a dead, worthless season has a narrative and an attraction. That puts more people into the seats just to see what happens, and as we all know...the best player on a bad team syndrome is bound to happen. His knees are an issue, but if a lottery team is so inclined, I can understand them rolling the dice. 4-14 isn't gonna change or get better this year, but having something to at least drive towards .500 and the playoffs. I can understand that frame of mind that he's operating from.

Getting a star is so hard in this league. We know who the great ones are and they're not leaving their teams for Toronto...not ever. It takes a special type of desperation to trade Kyle Lowry for a big name, though. Pau is too old, but if Daryl Morey has a feeling about it, that's practically Colangelo's father. And Colangelo has got to be close to being fired at the end of this year or sometime next. Right? That desperation.

Pau is a Joke NOW, not a star. There is a difference.

Raptors gonna trade for Pau for comic relief?

Trading for Pau gonna save Colangelo's job?

Right.

man yall really don't understand at this point it's not about Pau the player it's about Pau the contract. 19 mill off the books in the summer with the best free agent class since the last time Bron was making the decision. Pau for Love wouldn't be much different than Kwame for Pau and the Lakers could easily sell a team on how well that worked out for Memphis. this is the kind of thing owners and GMs are looking at, they don't necessarily need to win a chip they just want to be good enough to sell season tickets and turn a profit. that's also why the Lakers aren't trading Pau until Nash gets back. Nash had Gortat looking like Barishnakov imagine what he will do for Pau. then you get teams thinking hmm..this guy aint bad with a decent PG and even if he sucks we'll have money in 2014. same think with Philly and Bynum if they end up getting someone like Al Jefferson in the offseason

please tell me I am making this easy to understand :lol

Right.

Your argument would sound better if worse trades hadn't been done before in the past.

pau gasol isn't going to lead a team to anything or fill seats at this stage in his career

Lmao at Toronto sports fans filling seats to see Pau Gasol play. Pau wasn't a seat filler in his prime in Memphis. And Pau a star? How many 3rd string stars are there in the NBA?

Pau didn't fill seats in Memphis when he was 20 and 10.

no one in their right mind is going to see Pau yelp his way to 15 and 9 on 44% shooting
