Knicks fans are cheering now, but let's see if all these 3's will fall when the pressure's on in the playoffs. Live and die by the 3. NYK won't be from the arc EVERY game.

This wont happen in the playoffs though. A lot of these 3s were contested and theyve just been making them. And majority of those open looks wont be there for NY when Miami's defense locks up on the perimeter.

Knicks are def a team Miami has to look out for if they continue to shoot like this though.

They're 31-10 since Woodson took over. They were sidetracked last season with injuries & now they've added some more pieces & they're still playing solid defense. They're a legit team.

Knicks 3pt% career / this season

J. Kidd 35% / 51%

R. Felton 33% / 39%

C. Anthony 33% / 44%

R. Brewer 27% / 41%

JR Smith 37% / 40%

S. Novak 43% / 43%

Regression to the mean is to be expected at some point

The fact that the Knicks were able to take 44 threes tells you all you need to know about how much they can make Miami uncomfortable. They won't always make them at that clip (and they left some out there..18/44 aint that great) but this particular match up should be a serious concern for Miami. More so than any other in the East, by far.

The Knicks are stupid deep this year. I forgot they had Shumpert too, they're def no joke.

Maybe te Knicks won't make this many threes, maybe they'll tone down.

But what's important and noticeable is just how good they are on defense and how great they move the ball. That will get better. Not to mention Carmelo didn't even play and Amare & Shumpert will contribute. The team is for real, get used to it. Or hate.
