its Westbrook's fault for sure but it is what it is. let the team gel with what they have, let RW learn from it. they didnt get blown out, all will be good.

They wouldn't have even been in that position had they let westbrook take them home offensively on that last set instead of trying to get durant open who routinely can't use a screen and gets pushed out just like in that last play, allowing them to take the ball.
But get the ball to durant :rolleyes

You mean if he would have ducked his head and ran at the rim as he'd done all night long and miss...that would have been a better option than getting it to the guy who kept them afloat all damn night?

Ok man...

There are alot of Westbrook apologists on here but tonight ain't that night.

He shot 6 of 21 and had more turnovers than assists and had a HORRIBLE miscue that allowed the game winner. Please stop.

no moving screen on timmy?

I know right, as if Kendrick Perkins and Ibaka didnt write the book on moving screens. It wasnt even a moving screen, Timmy set the screen and got knocked off balance because Ibakas trying to run through it. Go watch it again, Perkins is pushing him, hes not a brick wall his feet are going to move.

Said it before, should have inquired about a trade for D-Will this offseason for Russ. Kept Harden

If Westbrook 'never passes to Durant', Durant would not be a 3 time scoring champion

If Westbrook is a 'mediocre' player, Thunder are not Western Conference champs, not to mention himself being an All Star and Olympian.

Season openers always bring out the worst in people who never watch the game.

Kevin Martin... 10 shots... 1 in the paint...

Harden's value was that he could balance out WB.. Not only could Harden play with the ball as a hybrid PG.. But could play off it as well.. Who knows what goes on 6 months from now.. But Harden not being there hurts not only for what Harden could do, but what he did for WB.

I don't know why folks are expecting to STILL change Westbrook. He is what he is at this juncture and time. Take the good with the bad.

Great player, appreciate his heart and desire.....he just tries to do too much sometimes.

Chuck is drinking the kool aid 2 much. They lost their best overall player in harden. Durant is just the most talented scorer and Westbrooks just super athletic with the basketball iq of a peanut. If Durant or Russ don't evolve their games and do more to affect the game, they are gonna be a 2nd round team this year. Facts.

PLEASE STOP.

James Harden was not their best overall player.

Ya'll on that kool aid HEAVY right now.

He at least would have got a shot up. It doesn't matter what he nor anybody has done with 10 seconds left. One of your two best players have to get a shot at the basket. Russel was in a better position to get a shot up against the smaller lest athletic tony parker.

Conversely, You have durant getting pushed around his screens and not even coming off the screen hard.

LMAOOOOOOOOOOOOO man what!?!?

Maynor sucks too dude. He's going to lose his spot to Reggie Jackson sooner than later.

You are lunchin', Maynor is the best "PG" you guys have. He actually distributes the ball and gets others involved.
Not so much, he doesn't get passed his defender or into the paint anymore. Harden carried those 2nd units he was in, not him. He was a spot up shooter waiting for JH kickouts. And since Brooks isn't going to play PJ3 with Maynor, who is an excellent dive cutter and runs the floor, it's just going to be Maynor/Nick pick and roll in that 2nd unit, which isn't Harden-Nick pick and roll by far.

Only reason we drafted Jackson was to replace him anyways after that game 5 against the Mavs in the WCF wave off Westbrook, Durant, and Harden so I can iso and shoot an airball in the clutch over Dirk.

He had a ******g TERRIBLE game but ya'll are overblowing the hell out of this talking about they should have traded Westbrook.

Ya'll clearly missed basketball because one game and this whole damn forum has been out of control with the assessments.

As Gm i woudve traded Westbrook, Kept Harden, you have Maynor back. For Westbrook you could easily get a couple pieces including another PG (n a dependable one) The league nowadays is PG filled.
