Would you guys say that the spurs are really a threat in the playoffs? I don't see them being as big of a deal in the playoffs as I do seeing the thunder. Spurs are a great regular season team but lately in the past couple of seasons they seem to be good until WCF then they just lose. I still see OKC getting to the finals beating the spurs in the WCF.

Also I hope the lakers do not make the playoffs. I just want this to happen just because I want to see the madness that goes on with the whole Dwightmare and I kinda want to see the lakers implode. :smokin

******LET THE FLAMING BEGIN******

It's sad that y'all always discrediting LeBron :{
Its not that we are discrediting LeBron but you are over crediting LeBron.
LeBron is big and fast. Jordan and kobe are the same size as their defender so they developed footwork and crossovers that LeBron doesn't do or may not need because he is bigger and faster than every defender

Trucker Dave must be trolling. Lebron's footwork is average. He gets by his defenders so easily because his gait is so much longer than a 6'4 sg, not to mention he's blazing fast.

It's like a 9'8" center coming to the league. He's going to catch every oop that comes near him and finish the game with 75 and 52 rebounds a night. In terms of efficiency and numbers he's a BEAST... but is he more skilled than hakeem or shaq? No.

I'm not trollin papi

I think LeBron has great footwork

What's so good about Jordan's footwork?

Only impressive Jordan footwork I seen was when he was stuck in the corner and then dunked on Ewing

here ya go

Think that Jordan footwork vid needs to be longer for some to really get it. :lol

Awesome video.

Basketball was a LOT more physical in Jordans era. That fact alone earns Jordan more respect in my book. The league is all about protecting their assets so there's no way they would allow that type of physicality these days.

Lebron's footwork, ball handling and fluidity are nowhere near Jordans, wade or kobe's.

Lebron may be the most efficient ever, but not the most skilled by a long shot. His athleticism gives him an advantage over everyone in life. His skillset is definitely above average, but nowhere near the best.
true it was more physical...but that is due to the lack of overall skill set in particularly big men. I mean yea you had some exceptions but there were faaaaaaaaar more bigs that made a career by simply being a physical threat moreso then an actual skill talent threat.

i know alot of ppl have this vacuumed.... pick and choose memory. but lets see it for what it is, the avg big man 6'8-6'9 of yesteryear....would be a sf possible a sg in todays game.... The vin bakers, clarence weatherspoons, micheal doleacs, richard dumas's cedric ceballos's of that time wouldnt stand a chance against todays average 6'8 6'9 player. And the athletism and size of players at jordan respective position were undersized and less athletic then jordan. Jordan level of skill set, physicality, and overall athletism was head and shoulders faaaaar greater then any player at his size and position.

Hand checking, shoulder bumping, hip checking isnt a skill set. And once that wasnt allowed anymore and players of that era had to rely on skill set and footwork etc...rather then simply stopping opponents physically with force. Jordan superiority really shined.

i would say lebron footwork etc... is average. its actually pretty good considering his height and size. I mean jordan was smaller in terms of hwight and size, so by default he would be more agile and more nimble, but lets not act like in the jordan era you had guys like malone, anthony mason, larry johnson etc...(players around lebrons height and weight) were remotely even close to being as athletic, nimble, or had the foorwork or agility of a lebron.

I wouldnt say lebron is a better player then mj. But in terms of team orientated i would. Jordan is a better overall individual player then lebron,

Also mj was never desperate enough to attempt to manipulate the system by flopping, something that this era's stars rely heavily upon.

Michael Doleac :rollin you're just naming names for the sake of it. Dude was and is a prototypical stiff big man center. In what works would he ever guard a mobile 6'8 SF? Plus he played till 2008. You act like the dude is old as dirt and didn't play in this era.

Don't you ever disrespect Michael Doleac ever again.

Lebron is a complete player. Kobe and Mike can score at will but they were never able to rebound the ball like Lebron. They were never able to assist like Lebron. Lebron can guard all positions and make it difficult for the opposing team's star player. I'm not knocking down anybody but all I'm saying is Lebron is the real deal. He's not over hyped because he is the best in game right now. Hes a humble dude who never said he was the best but if he did, nobody can tell him otherwise.

but thats my point dudes 6'8 6'9 etc... werent as mobile and skilled as they are today. It wasnt till the big wave of foreign players and and the current elders of the nba...the kg's, duncans etc...lamar odoms did you see the bigger players with mobility, agility and skill set.

The bad boy pistons were called bad boys for a reason...and it was because of how bad ****... they were in rotating, and movement on the defensive end. It was cause they basically used physicality and brute force, size to stop opponents. If you guys really think a kevin duckworth could rotate on defense and keep up with a kevin durant...lol your crazy. I would love to see a danny manning try to guard stoudamire, do you honestly believe terry cummings would even have close to a chance guarding carmelo anthony?

Maybe in the old days of if i cant use skilll set, footwork, agility, and ill just simply beat them possibly. But in todays game lol not a chance in hell. I just cant legitimately say pervis ellison has a shot at guarding kevin love, or even scoring on kevin love. I know its all opinion based but i dont think the derrick colemans, antonio davis's, chris gaitlings would be all star starters, hell all stars even in todays game.

Son...

LeBron is like the least humble superstar in the league. Srs.

kobe's footwork>jordan's footwork..
On the low this is a fact. Jordan's was always great but since '07 I've seen Kobe create shots for himself in situations I haven't seen any other player do and then he makes the shot. Getting off the shot is a feat in itself, he's making them as well. I mean I've seen Kobe's footwork actually improve over time.

Barreling through players at full speed, huge *** steps to get to the basket, or muscling up a shot is not signs of great footwork at all. If you think so you don't know what footwork is.

He has the "Chosen One" on his back :lol

There was that rumor a while back that he texted rose "yo it's the king" hahaha

And this gem. Not a rumor.

According to Sports Illustrated photographer Walter Iooss Jr., LeBron James's personality has drastically changed drastically since 2003, when LeBron was still a 18-year-old rookie.

Iooss met back up with LeBron in 2009, and he was surprised at how much he had changed in those six years.

"He walked in like a king that day, and he took over that room. And not only physically, although he was massive then. I've never seen an athlete look like that. He was muscular, charming, articulate, the prince of hoops. He couldn't have been more of an ambassador for the game."

He also met up with LeBron at another pivotal time in the superstar's career- right after he'd signed with Miami. Iooss recounts LeBron being looked at as a villain after The Decision, and how that changed his personality yet again.

"LeBron became a villain to many after The Decision. I've seen a lot of entourages, but none like his. In July 2010 I got an assignment from Nike to shoot LeBron right after his TV special announcing his move to the Heat. We rented the Los Angeles Memorial Sports Arena, where the Lakers and the Clippers used to play, and there were 53 people on my crew-including hair and makeup artists, production people, a stylist. I had $10,000 in Hollywood lighting. It was huge. When LeBron arrived, it was as if Nelson Mandela had come in. Six or seven blacked-out Escalades pulled up, a convoy. LeBron had bodyguards and his masseuse. His deejay was already there, blasting. This for a photo shoot that was going to last an hour, tops."

Ioss added that he wasn't even allowed to talk to LeBron during the shoot, and he had to relay messages through a liaison, who turned out to be one of Amar'e Stoudemire's family members. LeBron was being watched by guards in the mezzanine levels, and after the shoot they quickly escorted LeBron away in a fleet of Escalades.

"My God, I've been around Michael Jordan, but with him nothing even came close to this. Unimaginable."

Super humble.

You cant blame that man for the media hyping him up

Also lebron should have atleast one dpoy under his belt (09) but i guess thats a bigman award

I actually think he's gonna get DPOY this year. Dwight is hated and the lakers are losing. Tyson chandler isn't as good as last year. Who else is gonna get it?
