Can someone explain to me why JR Smith is an all star?

17 and 5 on 40% is all star worthy?

Over which guard?
But luol is 17 & 6 at 44% and he is? I like what luol does but just can't see how he makes it two years in a row. And there really isn't an argument to take out holiday or Irving cause there both playing amazing ball but Cavs only have 11 wins. So by these standards of putting players on horrid teams, even tho they may deserve it would suggest that kemba walker may have a shot next year. Cause kyrie is at 23, 5, 3 and Kemba is at 18, 6, 3. Like others have said its tough and deserving players are gonna get snubbed and since the coaches do pick they may look at Jr past attitude and say this guy shouldn't be one and since luol has always been a good team player and him playing without the bulls best player and them still being relevant when most people had wrote them off may be an achievement in the coaches eyes. But the bulls record is more a testament to the expectations and pride thibbs instills on D rather than anything amazing that Luol is doin.

Because he is just going to shoot boring *** 18 foot jump shots.

 Pretty much.

It's the all-star game, not the all-fundamental-team-clinic-scrimmage

I don't think Luol should be an all star either.

I just want to know how JR Smith is a "snub".

12 is too many players if you ask me. Should be 10. There's always 2-3 guys that barely get time every year anyway.

What's the point of 15? Somebody's going to play even less and the only point would be just to say 6 extra guys are all stars.
Cause the game itself isnt whats important, but rather getting the all star nod.

The allstar game is like Judd Apatow movies to me. They are interesting at first but I'm sick of it by half time.

JR Smith being an All-Star would be a disgrace to the NBA and to the history of sport in general.

Hi hater. J.R. has certainly played at an all-star level thus far. Game winning shots, above average defense and is haveing one of his most efficient offensive seasons in his career.

In my opinion, Yao Ming making it to the ASG in 2011 was a disgrace as he had played less than 10games by mid-season.

How is JR Smith being efficiently on the offensive end? If you switched him with Jordan Crawford, would there be any fall off?

if jr smith is playing at an all star level, the nba might as well include everyone in the game. this guy is the definition of inefficient.

J.R. Smith's True Shooting Percentage (measure of shooting efficiency that takes into account 2-point field goals, 3-point field goals, and free throws.) is below 49%, what?

@KingJames: Huge S/O to @Kyrie Irving & @Paul George on their All-Star selections! Big time homies @KingJames

Lopez got snubbed |I

Highest scoring C in the league & he's been the best & most consistent player on a team that's 2.5 games out of 1st place in the conference. Not to mention all his improvements in his game that people have knocked him for (rebounding, defense, & a more complete offensive game).

Curry got snubbed as well 8o

Lopez got majorly snubbed. Kudos to the Bulls on having two allstars. :Nthat

As far as Curry goes at least DLee can hold it down for the Dubs. :lol 8o

There's no way in HELL JR Smith should be a all-star. Y'all on here talking about efficiency and dude shoots 40% from the field and 32% from 3.

There's not a coach in the league that would honestly call those numbers efficient. As much as y'all say Kobe chucks up bad shots I dunno how the hell Smith gets a pass.
