You act like this is the first legit squad Boozer has ever been on. He's had Deron the last few years and the Lakers consistently dominated the Jazz in every playoff series. Those Jazz teams were very solid, I think the Bulls team this year is as good as the Jazz team that lost to the Spurs in the WCF a few years back. I do concede that Rose presents more of a matchup problem for the Lakers because of his speed but he doesn't have Deron's passing abilities. To put it simply, the Bulls would need home court advantage, a huge series from Deng, and a poor series from Kobe to even come close to upsetting the Lakers in a 7 game series. The Bulls are a NEW contender, let's not forget recent teams that dominated in the regular season but completely fizzled in the playoffs: Magic, Cavs, Mavs...I would not bet against Kobe, Pau, a reinvested Bynum, and Phil if they have a chance to 3 peat...unless Miami somehow gets homecourt and Stern works his magic..
It will be interesting to see how the East standings play out. Assuming the Knicks remain in the 6th spot, whoever ends up 3rd would have the toughest road to the Finals in recent history (whoever finishes 3rd would have to play the Knicks w/ homecourt, the 2nd seed team w/o homecourt, and then most likely the 1st seed w/o homecourt) ...If the season ended today, the Heat would play the Knicks (trap series), Celtics, and then the Bulls just to get to the Lakers/Spurs/Thunder/Mavs
