As far as traction I hope these BHM are pretty legit.  Like some of you, I just don't get why you f with something that can't really get any better.  The 9 traction was unbelievable, why change it? dumb.  I still wear 9 EMs when I'm playing really competitive ball.

When you playing indoors, traction is definitely a big deal. You ever ball in some shoes that collect crazy dust or has the sole all worn out from playing outdoors? You end up sliding everywhere which makes cutting, stopping, and playing defense extremely tough.
That's probably it. I play outdoors a lot. Most of my shoes indoors were fine unless the floor was wet from sweat. If the floor is dusty indoors, I'd think that most people are slipping.

Those BHM's are strictly a court Shoe, maybe workout shoe.

Casual wears are impossible

Wouldn't you say the same about the Achilles pair, especially with the translucent outsole?
I feel like all Kobes can be rocked on and off court. Maybe not to dress up but throw them on with ball shorts and a t shirt you look fine IMO

The color com o on the Acilles isn't that scrambled. Like I don't get the color palette on the BHM and I don't have to be all matchy matchy but damn man, that is horrible.

Herringbone is tried a tested.. Why they didn't stick to this? Who knows.

Guessing it might be something to do with 'innovation' and Kobe's/Nike's desire to push his line of gear to 'new horizons'

'get it'

I think both the Achilles heel and the BHM's are great casual and court shoes. I think the Achilles will show less wear tear than the BHM would so I would opt to use the BHM's as a lifting shoe and maybe outdoors.

On a side note I don't know if anyone else is like this but its kind of a way for me make a positive out of my sneaker collecting habit, but I use kicks as a motivation to hit the gym. I actually only wear one or two pairs of shoes casually (kobe 8 PP red and Crazy 8). So if I want to wear a pair of some of my other kicks I will actually only wear them at the gym. For me its a motivator to get in gym as frequent as life allows.

I'm gonna be honest. I've been an optimist this whole time about the 11. But this shoe does not perform well. I got mad blisters around my pinky toe on both feet. I'm going to try to double sock next time to see if it helps. Either way, this confirms that the 9 really was the masterpiece.

Hey Dudes, (first post)

I Just got back from my weekend run and as the floor wasn't the cleanest I was skeptical from what I was hearing regarding this shoe(wiping down with hands), and it was the first use so I was expecting maximum performance.

I can confirm.... the traction on the Kobe XI is horrible, almost to the point where it feels like you are skating on ice and is a danger for a serious injury. I WOULD NOT recommend these for the weekend warrior players, and let me take it a step further, I would not recommend these for basketball.  If you are a pro and play in the top facilities with a clean hard court every session, have a shoe deal, or, don't play basketball at all, then by all means knock yourself out.  I was the only player with NOTICEABLE traction issues.  It was laughable to the point where I was setting screens and the momentum of the defender was sliding me out the way!  Had no confidence to run, layup, post, pretty much do anything but spot up shoot.  It's ridiculous.  How did a product like this make it to market !!???  Did Nike even test this shoes for the EVERYDAY PLAYER?  Comparing the tread to the KD's CP3;s, and or Lebron, it's depth, grip is a noticable several millimeters less!! RIDICULOUS.

I will be writing Nike demanding a refund or a replacement for something I can actually play in and won't injure me.  This is not acceptable for a 200EURO shoe.

Is there anybody else with this issue?  If this were a car company I'm sure a recall would be in order.

The technical engineer for this shoe should be fired or transfered to the casual everyday wear divison.

Did you own a pair of the X?

Did you own a pair of the X?
No, I have my 7's, which have actually held up quite nicely,.... on the same surfaces!

I can't carry a mop or broom with me to the court every time I play!  I never had to before!

Now the REAL question is if the standard rubber outsoles like in the BHM can hold up well. Since dust is a major issue I'm assuming it might have to do with the rubber compound and clear soles are notirious for failing with dust. It could be the pattern though, in the past few years I think everyone's learned that a good rubber compound can change everything. I don't like the look of either so this is major let down
