It seems like some of you are going out of your way to throw shade at Kendrick and/or "The Blacker the Berry".
@OshKoshBosh and anyone else who agree with that.
You guys never heard the saying, "Treat others how you want to be treated" , "if you want respect you have to show respect" ? That's pretty much the message of this song along with the contridictions.
The problem with this mentality in regards to this subject is, as a black man, you can go out into the world wearing suits everyday, speak properly, be well mannered, break not one law, have an impeccable past, have a well payin job, ect. and some white folks will STILL find a way to treat you like a N' and act like you're a second class citizen. Of course you should go out here and treat others with respect, doesn't mean that will be reciprocated. That's the point people are making, there's nothing wrong with the bottom line of your point, but it's deeper than that when you're talking about race relations.
