**Official Kendrick Lamar Thread 4th Studio Album ''DAMN.''Out Now**

Yeah, sometime in the past few days or so. President or something for TDE tweeted it was fake though.

Well, he WOULD though regardless right?

Im just fiending for some more music. Though I have to see this new PRhyme record is

 and keeping me busy.

Same thing OVO reps said about "Nothing Was the Same" track listing. Proved to be real.

Kendrick gotta' let Soulo or Q get on this sophomore effort, at least.

Q is weak to me and Ab-soul has his moments but still. As far as feature verses go, I think there's a reason Jay Rock was the only TDE guest feature on Good Kid. Either way, really looking forward to the album.

And? Just because those are his day 1's that doesn't mean he has to force them on his projects. Give me an album that sounds well put together, I don't want any songs that sound out of place or forced because he shoved some artist on them. There's not a song on GKMC that I think Q or Soul would've fit on or made better, k. Dot knows what he's doing.

I couldn't agree with this more. I never understood the thinking among hip-hop fans that certain people of the crew have to be on an album If Soulo or Q fit for an appearance on the album and mesh well with the concept etc then I am all for it. If not just let it be and put out the best music possible.

I agree with you about Q and Soulo on any track on GKMC that they would have enhanced.

Q would have road Money Trees tho

but everybody was involved with the project so its not like TDE was absent

Q was in charge of all the skits if I remember correctly

Although I disagree with your money trees comment I am all for the rest of what you said. Have as many people involved with whatever you like as long as the end product is great which I feel GKMC was.

"As for he and Cole’s collaborative album, the pair set the Internets on fire when they posted pics of themselves working on music together, back in 2012. When asked when we could expect a collaborative project, he revealed his own new album is just about done.

“This is probably the situation where we obviously have albums coming out at the same time so that ideal project may be a little bit more realistic, now that we both out of the way with the albums,” revealed Kendrick. “I’m in the process of finishing up and his album is crazy so we have that space and time to actually do what we do.”"

Between this and him saying a little while back that his younger brother has the only copy of the album, I'm convinced that the album been done since about late October/November and he's been using this time to mix/master and add finishing touches.

Thus that tracklist and cover art being real cause the album is making it's final rounds at Interscope and an untrustworthy person just so happened to get their hands on it. Or it could have been done deliberately. I think Top Dawg just trying to play it off.

Surprise Christmas release, I'm calling it now...

Been waiting on it for years.

That temptation track!!

Since this thread is dead, I'll start the discussion:

How did you start listening to Kendrick Lamar?

I may have seen his name here or there somewhere ( maybe be NT) but he was never on my radar.
It was when Kanye release Monster (off My Beautiful......) I love that song so much and the beat was so thumping :{
I was looking up any and everyone who spit to that beat. Then I came across Kendrick on youtube talking-

"***** Im Compton, big *** condom, muther**** ya problems...."

I hated his voice but I though that **** was sooo dope. So I started checking for him alil. Didn't check a project tho til I heard that Hiii Power
single drop. Then I got Section 80 when it dropped and I knew dude was special. Then I went back a listened to Overly Ded. and
really enjoyed that. I saw the progression and realized this kid can be one of the greats.

Back in 2011 around late September/first week of October. A friend on Facebook whose hip hop opinions I trust had been talking about Kendrick Lamar and section 80 for a while. So I went to his Wikipedia page, looked at his discography and decided that O.D. was the best place to start. Went on my datpiff app to check it out.

Played The Heart pt.2 and the rest is history...

Yo this is the exact same way i found out about him. No joke. I had heard his name float around for a while, but the first song I heard was Monster, and was like what's wrong with dudes voice? But then I heard HiiPower and became a fan instantly. I didn't listen to Section 80 until after GKMC for some reason though.

That's crazy we discovered dude the same way.
