Jay-Z has recruited his latest protégé, J. Cole, to join him on his highly anticipated North American College Tour starting October 9 at Penn State.

Cole will share opening duties with Wale and N.E.R.D., joining Jay through all 24 dates of the tour.

Powered by Live Nation, the tour, being billed as "the college event of the year," will make stops at a mix of college campus arenas and traditional venues across the U.S. and Canada.

So far, dates have been confirmed in Texas, Massachusetts, Michigan, Maryland, Ontario and Alberta, with additional cities and dates to be announced later.
