Official Eminem *Recovery* post Vol. 7th studio album 6/22/10

Who ever mentioned this has no replay value is off their rocker. I've played this front to back every day since it's leaked

This %%+# is waaaaaay better than his album before.

This %%+# deserves to be spun in my whip.

Same here. I can't stop playing this album and can't wait for the CD version to really get to hear how complete this album is.

Man this album is weedplate status to me...

Then I listened to it a little more and it's not that bad... not his best, but a lot better than Relapse.

I played the Proof dedication song the most so far from it.

Will give it a spin or two more, but I guess because I'm not in a depressed state at the moment I don't connect with it that much.

Couple years ago when I was at a low point in my life I would have probably thought Recovery > Illmatic... nah... never that

I'm definitely not hyped about dude like how I was earlier in his career, but I'm happy for those of you that still like him and support him and was waiting for this.

Just got confirmation from Amazon that my copy has been shipped.

I CAN'T **+%%#% WAIT!

PERFECT workout album. The only thing I skip is WTP, Seduction, and So Bad... Seduction and So Bad get spins but not at the gym.

Hope the two bonus tracks deliver as well... and this better not be Em's last album.

Anyone else think it ironic that Rihanna is featured in a song about spousal abuse?

I'm not sure if that was a conscious decision or not, but she does her thing on the chorus.

i doubt it. he uses this album to show he's not playing around anymore. and he wants to be considered as one of the greats and he'll use a few more albums to confirm that status.

Great effort by Em. I'm hooked on "Wont Back Down". Beat goes too hard. Is it just me or does it sound like Em is really struggling to reach that lyrical sharpness he once had. He shows flashes of it throughout the album but it just isnt there a lot of the time.

One thing I could do without is all the Kanye shout outs..

I think he is struggling to get back to that same level he was at...like you said theres some parts where I go

like the old Em, but then other times I'm looking like

.

Definitely better than anything he's put out recently but he's still got some work to do to get back to that elite rapping level he once was at.

Damn, how you skip Seduction

pitchfork review...2.8

so are all yall stans or what?
how misguided could you be, though?
What, just cause some review gave it a low rating it means it automatically sucks?

The Source gave MMLP + TES a 2 or 1 mics. Reviews these days dont mean ++!%.
i havent listened to the album....stan
i was just asking if there is any merit to what they are saying...."where there is smoke there is fire"

The days are cold livin’ without you
The nights are long, I’m growing older
I miss the days alone, thinkin’ about you
You may be gone, but you’re never over
And it don’t stop (oh)
And it don’t quit (oh)
And it don’t stop (oh)
And it don’t quit (oh)
And I miss you (oh)
I just miss you (oh)
I just miss you (oh)
Homie I’ll never forget you (no)

I think "You're Never Over" would've been much better if just this was the hook.

Still a dope track, though.

What song is sampled on the Seduction hook?

Also, am I late in hearing that Seduction may/may not be a diss towards Jay?
Makes no sense to me, but.

Hell yeah how he sings that part is dope as hell and sort of I don't know how to describe it, but it could have definitely did without that part you crossed out.

yall dont get the fact that em purposely sang that hook the way he did because he just didnt give a *%#% and was gonna sing his heart out regardless of how it sounded? sort of like a hopeless romantic singing his girlfriend a song because she would love the fact that he's trying to sing to her ... i know em cant sing in the slightest, but he can definitely carry a tune better than what he did on that hook ...

Eh, that may be the case, but still...it sounds like some %%#@ he'd do on a skit just %#%@!$! around.

...have a possible placement as a hospital patient, storin the dead bodies in grandmas little basement / Dr. Kavorkian has arrived to perform an autopsy on you while you scream "im still alive" / Drivin a rusty scalple thru the top of your scalp and pullin your adams apple out thru your mouth / Call the fire department I've hired an arson to set fire to your carpet and burn down your entire appartment... ha ha buss it.

That was why Eminem was the illest back in the day. I refuse to listen to Eminem anymore, after he signed 50 he lost himself and became "gangster" to sell records, lost a fan here. he was never my favorite tho but he will never lose his ability to rhyme well, just not as animated and zaney and above all original. the doo rag and the shady hat and all that was a joke come on b look in the mirror. plus he needs to bleach his hair. He aint Slim Shady without the Bleached hair!!

Em was never my favorite, it always seemed like he was beefin with white rappers only, like he could be the only one. I know Benzino and Ja rule and Canibus, but realisticly he went in on Everlast Cage and Vanilla Ice and Fred Durst in his prime. (but I'm sure any rapper back then would admit that they diddnt want Em goin in on them!!)
