Random, but what do you guys think of the state of high school basketball evaluation as it pertains to NBA prospects?

This is kind of crazy. Then you look at the top 10 of draft classes from like 2010 to now, it's wild.

I think this further proves you dont need to be a freshman to be a star. These were all mostly 3-4 year guys.

Think that highlights how flawed those guys are as prospects are than anything, in my opinion.
And that's fair too.

Zion strikes me as the ultimate elite glue guy though. Probably not exactly what you want in a #1 pick, but given the rest of the draft, I'd take it all day.

I just don't see anybody else in this class that I'd rather have, or project to be better than him.

I feel like he's just a dude that's going to be extremely valuable to a team. Duke has 2 other top 5 prospects on the floor and look what happened to their team without Zion tonight. Train wreck.

Right. That just means he's better and more impactful than everyone else on Duke's team, but that's a different conversation than say, how's he going to make it work at the NBA level.

You're right on the money w/this, and relative to his draft class, he's easily the best prospect that you'd take, but people are calling him the next Lebron, the best prospect, since MJ, I seen that his floor was Blake griffin,

that's wild.
Yeah, I tend to stay away from microwave analysis like that. Hell, on here the general consensus has been pretty tame as far as his ceiling

I don't think a ton of people see him as a guy you build around, but the same can be said for everyone else in the class

I don't think he needs to play center full time, Draymond doesn't so that's something to consider. I will say this, comparing him to one of the most unique players we've seen is definitely a tall ask. Not too sure what to expect from him on either end of the floor but it's still better than what's out there, perhaps even with a banged up knee

I wouldn't say this. Age + Skill level is still a supreme indicator of how good someone will be in the future. It's all relative.

I'm fine with that. But franchise changing talent iis what people have been projecting. Is he a All-NBA first team type of guy? I'm not sure I see that. He would definitely have to be a suped up Draymond for that to happen.

just from his reaction and the way he literally walked off the court with that much weight on a torn muscle, i dont think its a torn ACL

Def not acl. Leg turned inward. So MCL or LCL sprain possibly. Possible lateral meniscus tear. Possible pulled hamstring, looking at how he grabbed the postier part of his leg, there's a lot in that area. But the way the leg turned, the torque wouldn't have been on the ACL or patella.

Hoping it's something light and easy for youngin and was just look scarier than it was.

Draymond is definitely one of the most unique players we've seen, but on the same token, Zion is also one of the most unique prospects we've seen...

Some of this **** doesn't even make sense.

Gotta disagree here.

From 2009-2015, in the top 100 high school ball players, guess how many NBA All Stars there were? Eleven. 11/600 players top college recruits.

Close to 90% of the top 100 HS players each year didnt even make the league.
