The Los Angeles Clippers and New York Knicks are expected to return to their trade talks centered on Carmelo Anthony.

The two sides discussed trade scenarios involving Jamal Crawford and Austin Rivers for Anthony, but Crawford could instead be replaced by J.J. Redick in a sign-and-trade. Redick is 32 compared to the 37-year-old Crawford and is also a better fit for the triangle.

Redick would have to agree upon the deal as he's a free agent.

"It was a tough series for him," Doc Rivers said of Redick.

If the two sides expand the deal, Courtney Lee could also be included heading with Anthony to the Clippers.

Anthony indicated to the Knicks at the deadline that he was agreeable to Los Angeles.

Feels like we going backwards on this trade.

Why can't we go for young people, these players are already old.

Bc no one is willing to trade a young rising star for 33 year old Melo. We are not gonna get equal value for him. Regardless of the team, we are getting fleeced. He doesn't want to go to Miami anyway. Best case is to just let his contract expire or a buy out. At least we won't be taking on more long term deals.

That's part of why I use to laugh at ppl saying Melo should leave and join CP.

That would be embarrassing to his rep.

If anything it's the other way around.

I don't know how CP3 wasted another year on the Clippers waiting for Blake.

heard we only have 19 million in cap space... lets say cp3 made his way here the triangle would ruin his whole game regardless

Blake is a poor man's OG STAT

Blake is a poor man's OG STAT
100%
Blake in 6 injury riddled years.......471 games played, 35.2 MPG, 21.5 PPG, 9.4 RPG, 4.1 APG

Amar'e in 13 injury riddled years...846 games played, 31 MPG, 18.9 PPG, 7.8 RPG, 1.2 APG

Yeah Blake Griffin is certainly the poor man's STAT alright......
Send Melo to Miami for #14 & Tyler Johnson

Might be a better fit than LA tbh
Just come here Chris

If you compare stats first 6 years against Blakes fitst 6 years the narrative changes.

Amare's first 6 seasons: 21.2 PPG, 8.9 RPG, 1.4 APG. And that's not including the season he only played 3 games since that wouldn't be fair.
Blake's first 6 seasons: 21.4 PPG, 9.4 RPG, 4.1 APG.

Blake edges out Amare regardless.

Only thing Amare did better than Blake was score more.

Blake is a better rebounder, playmaker, and more skilled overall.

Amare is more accomplished having played on better squads. His first season as a Knick is still appreciated regardless.

My point was they were a lot more similar than not. Amares numbers faded towards the end of his career...

The argument was Blake was a poor man's Amar'e. We all showed that statement was just hot air. Point proven....or disproven
