Official 2017-2018 Knicks season thread

What superstar have we traded our "whole team" for besides Melo? What superstar have we ever even traded for besides Melo? And Melo was dead in his prime when we dealt for him. And usually, you arent getting a superstar who isnt over the hill unless you do trade your entire team, word to Cavs asking for Porzingis in the Kyrie trade talks.

If that was the ONLY way to get Melo then ok its fine. But it goes to show you how much of an idiot and imbecile Dolan is. Had he waited that offseason we would've had Melo for free cuz he was gonna sign with us anyways as a free agent.

When we get a superstar quality player without giving away a lot and we build around him we can make sh*t happen, last example was Ewing, today's example is Porzingis. Yea they were drafted but we got em without giving away anything, which could've been the case with Melo.

If we had done the same with Melo we probably would've been a contender by now. But Dolan...

To me the price to pay for a superstar is not worth it, it’s a TEAM game and the amount of pieces it usually take to get a superstar star destroys the TEAMS foundation.

- Melo and everyone else was worrying about the CBA. He would've been traded elsewhere. He was 27 and didn't have a GM devaluing him like China does, to the media. Both sides should've been patient. But it is what it is, that's in the past.

At least we're in a better position now for the future then we've ever been in the last decade. We just can't ruin it like we're accustomed to doing.

Yes definitely but even if he would've gotten traded elsewhere in free agency Melo said it himself he was gonna sign with NY, which is what prompted Denver even more to push for a deal.

But whatever its in the past now like u said and we moving up, lets pray Dolan doesn't feel like trading for another superstar soon :lol::lol:
