Do you still think boogie >>> Marc?

Not because he's younger, but an actual better basketball player

Yes.

If I'm building a team today I'm still taking Boogie over Marc.

That's not a slight to him though, Boogie/Marc/Whiteside/KAT are the best 5's in the league today.

Conley putting up 19/6/4 on above average shooting tho.

Maybe he's not worth $153M but he's sure as hell not in the Noah, Parsons, Bazemore, Turner category

First team finesse this year
PG
SG Kent bazemore
SF Chandler Parsons
PF Myers Leonard
C Joakim Noah

Baze is ICE cold. ICE ICE cold. He's not even taking bad shots, he's just bricking damn near everything. Rest of his game is fine but he's gotta start making shots.

From that 60 win team, their top 7 was Teague/Korver/Carroll/Sap/Al, w/ Baze & Dennis off the bench.

They've changed 5 slots out of that 7 and downgraded at every one besides center. 1/5 :{

Dennis hasn't made any strides with his jumper, Delaney is a rookie & looks like it so the 1 is a mess.

Demarre had a 60%TS that year, Baze is one of the worst shooters in the league right now. Devastating drop off.

Dennis & Baze wanted to start sooooo bad, they gotta put up.

Sap has also had issues adjust to Dwight, even before his hip injury. Been taking more jumpers with Dwight down there & his touch has been off. I'd like to see Bud call for more 2 man action with those two. a 4/5 pnr could work in theory.

:lol at Conley being on that list and having a career year.

That's completely different than anyone else in that lineup.

Saw a stat last night that dating back to Feb. 1, Bazemore has been shooting 28% from three.

I always said if anybody were to come close to breaking 70 points again... It would be Harden, Durant, or Klay (ever since 37 in 1 quarter)

But I'm seeing a lot of Kobes name being brought up for comparison. All I gotta say is it's no comparison. Klay still had 2 of the most efficient shooters and scorers on the floor with him.

Which means guys still had to cover them and not leave them open.

Kobe on the other hand was the ONLY scorer on his team. Which means teams were able to double, triple team him because there was nobody else that could score.

When Kobe scored 81, 62 in 3, hell even when he scored 56 in 3 against Memphis. He was the only scorer on his team. Yet he found away to get his shot off and score. I remember Kobe dropping 55 in ONE HALF!

I know Kobe is retired so he's forgotten now. But let's not get carried away!

You really just took 5 minute highlights to argue with my original statement. Which is Klay's performance isn't close to Kobe's performances.

I watched ALL of those games, they were all close competitive games, Lakers was even losing, hell even Kobe's 60 last year, they were LOSING.

Kobe played iso-ball a lot, help D, double team or whatever... Kobe managed to get his buckets. That's all I'm saying, so relax! :lol

I took game footage from the 3 specific games that you mentioned to show you that you were talking out of your *** :lol

Again, Jalen Rose specifically talked about that. In all 3 of those games, NONE of those teams were sending hard doubles, triples, whatever at Kobe. This is all on the tape. They weren't that concerned with getting the ball out of his hands. He was going straight 1on1 in those halfcourt possessions.

And I'm completely relaxed bro :lol we just talking

dwight Howard presence is the reason for bazemore's poor shooting.

Yea, ****** still just hung up on the number.

Yes Conley is mad rich but he earning that, he's been a top 20-25 player this year by eye test and analytics.

Not his fault his back is fractured now but son was shooting the lights out efficiently and leading his team to wins.

Y'all gotta understand the #'s are arbitrary, he deserved the max, it just happened to be 150 million.

Because the defense doesn’t feel threatened it doesn’t have to send aggressive help toward the paint, which means the ball doesn’t ping around the perimeter in the Hawks-y way we’ve become so familiar with over the last few years; and suddenly (for example) Kent Bazemore isn’t quite as open all the time and he starts making 30 percent of his 3s as opposed to 36 percent. Baze has made 10 of 19 triples with Dwight on the bench and only 11 of 51 with Dwight on the floor.

After Kobe's 81, the next leading scorer was Smush Parker with 13, which is honestly ":eek" in it's own right :lol

Better performance without Dwight in the game is not exclusive to Bazemore, either. Seven different Hawks have played at least 100 minutes with Howard this season. Six of them have a better Net Rating when playing without Dwight than with him."

We knew Korver would regress from that absurd 70%TS, but that combined w/ Baze has just devastated the offense. Those are the 2 biggest dropoffs.

Grizz don't max him, fan support goes down, Marc asks for a trade, Grizz end up with like the 8th worst record in the league, lose their 2017 pick to Denver and basically are stuck in 3-5+ years of non-winning basketball while developing the youth on the team. By Year 4 or 5, the team is moved.

My main issue with the team was lack of youth development, but now we are doing it while still being a playoff team giving us an outside shot of doing something special come playoff time over the next 2 seasons. Hopefully, by Year 3 once Marc and Conley decline, the younger guys are able to step in and be what we need them to be to keep the playoff years going.

Lowkey Dwight has been a curse since he did SVG foul.

Agreed. Saw him live in the blowout loss vs Toronto and dude has been awful. He lets rookies outrun him and get easy buckets. His transition defence was non-existent and sometimes he flat out quits when they were still in the game.

Like pmatic pmatic mentioned, Baze has been broke going back to February of last season.

Howard has played 21 games, so that 10/19 stat is less than 1 attempt each game. You can't draw any meaningful conclusion from that.

Especially for a small town team like Memphis, Youth development should have been somewhat of a priority at least two years ago.

Forget klay scoring 60, lets talk about that bum Ellis allowing it to happen :lol, just seen the highlight recap on YouTube and the defeat on his face everytime klay torch him was priceless, the same guy who wanted curry to get traded because he couldn't play with him lol, that karma come at you fast.

There might be a handful of people that remember what Memphis was like before they got good. :lol

It was a damn ghost town in the stands.
