There might be a handful of people that remember what Memphis was like before they got good. :lol

It was a damn ghost town in the stands.

Them Pau Gasol days were sad. They really lucked out with Marc. Dude was a third string Center before he suddenly blew up.

Right after those 3 years of being swept in the playoffs, the fan support went down drastically. Even with drafting OJ and having young Rudy on the team, fans just didn't support much until 2011 happened.

The team finally has an identity to get behind. As long as the youth is being developed, I'm good. We have about 5-6 guys right now 25 and under who are looking like quality players.

Marc was good when he was a rookie (made all-rookie team). I don't think anyone expected him to be what he is today, but probably more so on that Mozgov like level. At least that's what I thought.

Raptors kind of won.
Kings lose.

What else is new. :lol

What are the craziest scoring performances you've seen in your life? This has to be up there.

Craziest scoring performances of my lifetime

1. Kobe 81
2. Klay 60 in under 30 mins
3. Kobe outscoring the mavs by himself after 3 qs
4. Klay 37 in one quarter
5. Brandon Jennings 55 points as a rookie

Not in order and I'm willing to remove 5

All of Kobes black out nights from the 05-06 season :x

Kobe's 60 at the garden :smokin

Tmac 13 in 30 seconds to smoke the Spurs :smokin

A.I. and VC trading 50+

AD giving the Stones 53 last season.

David Robinson hanging 72 on dudes to take the scoring title from Diesel.

I always said if anybody were to come close to breaking 70 points again... It would be Harden, Durant, or Klay (ever since 37 in 1 quarter)

But I'm seeing a lot of Kobes name being brought up for comparison. All I gotta say is it's no comparison. Klay still had 2 of the most efficient shooters and scorers on the floor with him.

Which means guys still had to cover them and not leave them open.

Kobe on the other hand was the ONLY scorer on his team. Which means teams were able to double, triple team him because there was nobody else that could score.

When Kobe scored 81, 62 in 3, hell even when he scored 56 in 3 against Memphis. He was the only scorer on his team. Yet he found away to get his shot off and score. I remember Kobe dropping 55 in ONE HALF!

I know Kobe is retired so he's forgotten now. But let's not get carried away!

You really just took 5 minute highlights to argue with my original statement. Which is Klay's performance isn't close to Kobe's performances.

I watched ALL of those games, they were all close competitive games, Lakers was even losing, hell even Kobe's 60 last year, they were LOSING.

Kobe played iso-ball a lot, help D, double team or whatever... Kobe managed to get his buckets. That's all I'm saying, so relax! :lol

I took game footage from the 3 specific games that you mentioned to show you that you were talking out of your *** :lol

Again, Jalen Rose specifically talked about that. In all 3 of those games, NONE of those teams were sending hard doubles, triples, whatever at Kobe. This is all on the tape. They weren't that concerned with getting the ball out of his hands. He was going straight 1on1 in those halfcourt possessions.

And I'm completely relaxed bro :lol we just talking

Yeah you're right, we are just talking. My bad!

But nonetheless, it's no comparison. Kobe's performances >>> allays

Like someone posted above, Klay only took 11 dribbles the whole game :lol Most of Klays points came off screens, cuts to the baskets and catch and shoot.

He doesn't have to work for his points the way Kobe does... reason is because there's 2 other scorers on the floor.

Kobe will post you up, score from outside, take you to the hole... ect.

Can we put Omer Asik on that team?

I guess his contract isn't that bad anymore with the new CBA, but he's signed through the 2019-20 season and 30 years old.

hahah he had gave them like 50 or something right?

When you really just sit and think about it...it takes a special kind of scorer and the opportunity to go beyond 50 points. And even more stars need to align to crack that 60 point barrier. The perfect storm. That is such a hard feat. Of all of the greats that we've seen, only 23 players have ever reached 60.

And then...

Only four players have scored 60 or more points on more than one occasion: Kobe Bryant (6 times), Michael Jordan (5 times), and Elgin Baylor (4 times).

Oh yea, and there was a guy named Stilt. He did it (32 times),

Otto Porter (?!) is averaging 15-8 with two steals, shooting 54% from the field and 41% from 3-point range.

Two front office execs in last 24 hours predicted to me he's getting a max. He's been really good.

Makes me SO pissed about the bench. Having an average bench would have the Wizards well over .500

Starters are all pretty much having career years and are legit.

Otto Porter definitely getting 100 million, he's only gotten better every year.

He's turned into a borederline elite catch and shoot player, great rebounder for his position and just a high IQ on both sides of the ball.

Safe to say they worked out the chemistry issues from the first week.

Naww man Agent Zero spanked the Lakers with 60! And scored 16 points in OT, which was the record until Curry broke it last year in the playoffs.

I think he could turn out to be a better player than Rip Hamilton.

oh damn, you're right. I must've suppressed that memory lol. Gil was so damn nasty in his Prime. I liked that Wizrd squad too. And that Hawks squad. They just could never get over the hump that was lebron. He really did have that mj effect of the east man. Nobody could eat really outside of boston.

donatas motiejunas didn't show up for his physical w/rockets this morning
