That's fair but i'm sure we could compile a list of players who played more than 2 years in college and are / have been in the league and flamed out in the past decade or so.

My point is, let these guys get their money man. And who knows, maybe these guys get drafted in a better situation coming out of HS and being top picks, and as a result get more chances and are able to possibly carve out careers for themselves.

Let them get their money? Without even deserving it? You guys flame all the NBA players for "stealing" money from NBA team with their awful contracts, but OK with kids coming into the NBA and getting a pay-day only to get bounced out the league in

i remember jason kapono saying if he went overseas and changed his name to kaponokis, he wouldve been a lotto pick
something to that extent

He's not lying.....

The bias against white American college players is real. The foreign/international appeal is real. Mainly cuz they are unknown, sheltered and play with pros at a young age.

This is how Jan Veesley was seen as a better prospect than say....Mason Plumlee

Basically so NCAA can get the money off the big name while they "try to develop their talents", not get paid, and risk getting hurt too?

I just don't see why you can go pro in golf, tennis, baseball, etc straight out of HS but you can't with football and basketball both of which happen to be predominately african american played sports but we aint gonna go there....

Please do. [emoji]128483[/emoji] they want these brothas many of soon come from difficult circumstances to miss maybe their one chance at a life changing payday. Just to enrich the pockets of these coaches, ADs, and institutions of higher learning? Nah fam.

It's amazing to me just how many of you guys think sending 18 year olds to the NFL is a good idea

we live in a country where we literally think the sport of Football is okay for the sake of entertainment. Of course it isn't a good idea. The whole concept of Football isn't a good idea

But if you're going to play and make millions for others, you should get some of that, especially if you're putting your health at risk.

Kendall Marshall
Thomas Robinson
Jimmer Fredette
Adam Morrison
Kris Dunn (off to a rough start)
Wesley Johnson
Epke Udoh
Lazar Hayward
Marshon Brooks
Jared Cunningham
Jeffry Taylor
Shabazz Napier

I mean I could go on but you get the point. 3 and 4 year guys flame out too.

That wasn't the point I was trying to make. FTR...I think you should be able to come out of HS.

I'm just pointing out how college can expose dudes....and is a crutch and benefit to stupid gms and scouts.

All those guys I listed were firmly projected lotto picks going into their freshman years :lol

C'mon

I don't get your point. Dudes who go to college for 3 and 4 years get bounced all the time. They steal money too.

All i'm saying is let them declare, and if some NBA teams think they're good enough then so be it.

One time for Luke kennard and TJ Leaf

They'd be lottery picks if they were euros

Hayward
Redick
Love

What if I told you that the exposing for some of those guys was due more so to them having to play in college when they were clearly suited for the NBA?

Being underwhelming in college isn't necessarily a determinant for being bad in the league. However, what can happen, is that guys who are more equipped and prepared for NBA play in college, and look bad, and as a result get drafted into undesirable situations and then it just falls from there. Trickle down effect that all started with them not being able to jump from HS to the pros.

Not saying that's the case with all or even most of those guys, but some of those guys probably would have had a better chance at sticking in the league off of sheer volume of opportunity because they would have been lotto picks.
