So would you rather have had us throw huge contracts at guys who wouldn't have made us a winning team, never live up to their contract, hurt our salary cap when it came time to pay our young guys and take away development time from the guys who really need it? In the end, the process worked. You mad cause your pick this year (plus assets received from Noel/Okafor) is possibly the finishing touch of Hinkie's plan.

You aren't going to be a winning team for a while, got multiple pieces at the same positions in Okafor and Noel not getting burn that you can't give away at this point, and we'll have to see what actually materializes with whatever talent you do have. No matter how you slice it, it's the most egregious and blatant display of tanking in league history. DISGRACEFUL.

Not at all, the Lakers haven't been trying to actively tank at all, hell they have been trying to throw money at free agents every offseason. They've just been terrible, y'all's former GM told everybody he wasn't trying to field a competitive team. Lakers fell *** backwards into these picks.

And

 the process worked. Y'all have Embiid who just got on the floor after 3 years, a logjam of bigs you can't trade, and Simmons who hasn't played yet either and STILL one of the 3 worst teams in the league.

Ok Mamba. Keep telling yourself that. Im not denying what Hinkie did but if you cant see why he did it then you just dumb. Its one of the most riskful moves ever. I aint agree with all of it but i give him alot of respect for basically sacrificing his career taking a completely different approach that could pay off big in the end. That takes guts

Na what hes saying is he wished we woulda kept Jrue & that crew of bench players and kept finishing 10th in the East with no real shot at a good pick or any real moves of improvement.

Basically being the non playoff version of the Hawks or current Kings lol

Locally i hear it all the time but thats cuz theyre fans of the team. If you not a fan of our squad, then i dont wanna hear an opinion on it. You (not talking bout you just in general lol) aint have to go thru, yall just reaped the rewards of easy Ws against us lol. Whats to really complain about from an opposing fans perspective? He had no decency about it & was honest and unapologetic bout it. His reasons for doing it were justified too if you looked at our teams the previous years. We were one of those teams who were just there with no chance at anything in the future. Now we suck with a chance at being great. Id take that hope over that previous boring reality of our old teams
