According to league and team sources,
the Warriors have had conversations with just about everyone as the March 15 trade deadline approaches:
Atlanta: The Warriors think they could get Joe Johnson but feel he's a more expensive and possibly inferior player to Monta Ellis. They'd like Josh Smith, but they haven't found the Hawks willing to part with the forward.
Boston: The Warriors don't see any gains from taking on the expiring contracts of Ray Allen or Kevin Garnett and wouldn't do a Rajon Rondo-for-Stephen Curry deal.
Chicago: The Warriors don't think Luol Deng will get moved, and they believe the Bulls will match any offer sheet on restricted free agent center Omer Asik this summer.
Cleveland: The Warriors inquired about Anderson Varejao and were turned down. Ramon Sessions wouldn't help the Warriors unless the makeup of the roster changes drastically.
Dallas: The Warriors like their swingman tandem of Dorell Wright and Brandon Rush better than dealing for Shawn Marion. "I can't tell what Dallas is doing. I'm as confused as everybody else," one Warriors source said.
Denver: The Nuggets are trying to deal forward Chris Anderson. "He might get traded, but it won't be to us," a Warriors source said.
Houston: The Warriors like power forward Luis Scola, but they don't feel like they can get a fair deal from the Rockets.
Lakers: The Warriors don't think they can find the proper parameters for a Pau Gasol trade.
Memphis: When Marreese Speights was dealt to the Grizzlies, the Warriors were never involved.
Milwaukee: The Warriors haven't had talks about Andrew Bogut yet, but they believe the asking price would be too high.
Minnesota: The Warriors don't think dealing for Michael Beasley would change their team.
New Jersey: Brook Lopez isn't a likely trade acquisition, because the Warriors need a big man who rebounds. They also could explore signing him this summer.
New Orleans: The Warriors talk to the Hornets quite a bit, but they think Chris Kaman's play may have driven up the asking price.
Orlando: The Magic want Monta Ellis, but the Warriors won't deal him without getting Dwight Howard in return. Orlando's other players don't appeal to the Warriors.
Phoenix: The Warriors will consider signing Robin Lopez in the offseason.
Portland: The Trailblazers haven't shown interest in moving Nicolas Batum, and Joe Lacob says he turned down a deal for Gerald Wallace last season.
Toronto: The Warriors haven't had discussions about Leandro Barbosa.
Utah: The Warriors haven't shown much interest in either Devin Harris or C.J. Miles.
Washington: Though they feel their locker room could take on a potential headache, the Warriors don't like Andray Blatche. They are more likely to go after JaVale McGee this offseason than trade for him now.
