Official 2012 NBA Trade Deadline Thread: The Dwightmare is Over.

if im ainge, i'd trade kg back to minny and try to get some young pieces back (nikola, beasely, exp contracts)

It puts foye back on the second unit. So the second unit would be Bledsoe, Foye, Pietrus, Kmart, Evans. Not bad. Scoring load here would be foye and Pietrus spotting up and Kmart who is nailing the 15ft jumper right now. All Evans do is clean up the boards and when Bledsoe gets back to form he can score too.

And that's is a pretty good defensive unit if u ask me. We get shooting, height and deefense in the trade.

. That'd be awesome if that's how it ended up.

Well in terms of headaches, you're making a lateral move with either one

...but I'd like to see McGee on a different team, just to see if
he's just naturally goofy as hell, or is it cause he's on the Wizards.

sitting here at my office desk, i thought the exact same thing to come on here and mention. i mean, garnett back in minny would be pretty interesting, with his veteran vibe.

That would be laughable if KG went back to Minny at this point. Why would Minny want him now? Vet big man? How much does he have left in the tank?

still will play better defense that half of that team

I think the T-Wolves could use Ray Allen more than Garnett though.

Philly needs to make a damn move. Tired of them finishing every close game out the same damn way. When there's nobody that can create his own shot on the whole team except a guy who comes off the bench it's not a good look.

this.. i worry about keeping 3/4 guys on the team: jrue, thad, nikola and maybe turner

lou COULD be expendable depending on what was available to come back.. but he would be the 5th

iggy def would be available.. then you could amnesty nocioni

Some other Sixers fans have been saying they'd like to do a Lou for Ray Allen trade. Bring a shooter that could spread the floor and veteran leader for a young team. Meeks, Turner and Thad could step up for Lou's scoring. Meeks is a straight shooter to bring off the bench but he's straight !#* as a starter.

Honestly we could probably use Garnett or Ray Allen both really badly on this team. Their youth shows way too much in crunch time.

Kevin Garnett doesn't fit with Minnesota IMO. You'd have to play Garnett at the 5 and he ain't stopping a big body like Marc Gasol or Andrew Bynum in the playoffs.

At this point, Minnesota should only go for a veteran SG/SF. They already have a plethora of capable big men (Love, Pekovic, Miller, Randolph, Tolliver, D-Will, Beasley (the last two are tweeners), and Milicic). If I'm Minnesota, I try going for Ray Allen and if I come up short, I'd even go as far as to calling Phoenix regarding Grant Hill. He won't wow you with stats but he's a solid veteran role player that gives a young team like the Wolves a lot of experience, and I'm sure he's affordable (although I don't know what his salary looks like but it's something to look into IMO).

i dont understand trading away a young piece for a veteran thats not going to put you over the top.

Boeheim wouldn't even take Wes Johnson for Waiters or Kris Joseph.

I don't get what happened with Wes though. His game seemed like it was perfect for the pros and he's got great size, but he's been complete trash.

Ray Allen wouldn't make a difference for Minnesota? I beg to differ.
Grant Hill is a different case so I get you on that but Ray Allen is still a capable player.
