Where are you getting your data?

If you count 10-23 feet as midrange both Kobe and Durant take more than two shots a game more from midrange. What are you talking about?

I count 16-23 feet as midrange. Here's the data. Scroll down to the fourth table

So why isn't 10-15 feet counted as midrange?

Heat in 6

Dallas has changed the perception of their team but I just think Lebron is so focused rightnow. Wade has to play better than he did against the Bulls or they aint winning sh@#.

Baring the refs , if them mavs play cut throat ball i dont see how they could lose. But if the king cant miss then it will be a problem.

Cause a 10 footer isn't really "midrange" so to speak. That's rather close. I'd rather compare their %'s on longer shots.

Bro yall sell out when yall hit the paint, I'm talking four guys jumping to block the shot in the paint. Its impossible to get out to shooter that fast if someone like JJ or Kidd is in paint and your jumping to block his shot.

They fast but you talking like they can teleport.
SneakerPro u r exactly right. The Heat will find out what the Western Conf. teams found out.
Its hard for an opposing teams big to run out at Dirk in the fourth quarter.

Dirk doesn't stand in one spot waiting on the ball. He wears down the other bigs w/ his movement.

And it does no good to run a guard at him because he just shoots right over them.

The old Dirk would let a 6'4" SG defend him on the perimeter. Thats his biggest improvement by a long shot.

I'm sorry but this is ridiculous. Midrange by definition is the 10-18 area.

Who's definition? I've never heard of someone call a 10 foot shot a midrange jumper.

Exactly how is a 23ft jumper a "midrange shot" ? Last I checked, barring some change the last few days... wasnt that a 3 pt shot? Im just saying

. And the heat cannot play dirk like he is the same dirk from 06 or even from last season.

He shot better from midrange this year than all of those guys.

OMG! He did it a WHOLE year better. Lets just disregard the numbers they put through their careers
lol.
past is past.

bron right now is a better midrange shooter than everyone in the nba minus dirk.

If the rim is 0 ft and the three point line is 23 ft the "middle" of that is 11.5 ft man

Let me make my prediction now before I forget.

Mavs in 5. Dirk ain't goin' back to Miami.

He didn't go back to Cali. 4-0

He didn't go back to OKC. 4-1

And he ain't goin' back to South Beach! 4-1 Dirk!

3 pt line in the nba since '97-'98 season is 23 feet 9 inches.

ok. this is a court with the old NCAA 3 point line. As you can see, from the backboard to the freethrow line is 15 feet. Move 5 feet in & you're not really taking a "midrange" jumper anymore.
