Official 2010 San Francisco Giants Season Thread (92-70) NL West Division Champions!

That's weak. Taking the daddy-daughter angle. If this was Philly, his girls would get puked on.

How much more money could Posey earn if he was called up now?

It's money in the future, not now.

Is there any way to determine an approximate range?

I can understand if there thinking is we don't want to put an added  pressure on him but would you rather just throw him into the fire next season. If they bring him up now the least he could do is catch on molina's days off and play a little first base. Its not he could hurt an offensive explosion we have going.

Bring Posey up now and he's up for arbitration in 3 years.
Bring Posey up June 1st and he's up for arbitration in 4 years.

Basically keep him at a low price for an extra year when, surprise surprise, Aaron Rowand comes off the books.

Half way through the game and we have as many errors as hit.

Cuz that's how we rollllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll.

I have gotten to the point where I am starting to believe that we need to be sellers at the trade deadline, not buyers.

Funny how A's fans don't come in here when the Giants win. Unfortunately it's all L's these days.

L because of the trash that on the field, and another L for the trash that comes in here thinking their opinions matter.

the problem is that no one is going to trade for our garbage aside from a few options

Zito, Rowand, Renteria, Sanchez, De Rosa....no other GM is touching them with a 10 foot pole. This is why we cant actively pursue a clean up hitter....too much money tied up with them

Molina, Sanchez, Cain, Uribe, Wilson are the ones I could see other GM's asking about.
It would be to the giants interest to get rid of Molina ASAP, like they said they were over the off season. He is going to even be more of a whining, egotistical, "this organization owes me" %!%$# the second posey gets the call, and I foresee a disaster if and when posey supplants molina as our regular day catcher.

Maybe package one of our top prospects with any of the aforementioned dead weight on this team and see if another team is willing to bite.

If Sanchez get's hot enough like he was last year before the injuries, I dont think $6M is a huge price tag for a team needing an infielder.

i might go up there to watch a dodger game. i see tix are pretty expensive for that series
where do you guys recommend i get the best deal on tix? recommendations on where to sit?

Much like what I did in Pittsburgh, depending on the game/series you go to, you can buy a cheap upper reserve (though, they're not bad seats, either) and move around.  They also have dynamic deals which offer discounted tickets - obviously not the best seats in the house, but gets you in the park.  I've sat all over and have like far more than disliked.

The area around the park is fun:
Good food and drink at 21st Amendment, Iron Side, Paragon.  Personally, I think MoMo's is overarted, but the location is pretty awesome.

Let us know where you're staying etc (for the area) and I'm sure we can give you some other ideas as for things to do/see.

LazyJ is pretty much spot on with the seats pending on the opponents. Choosing a seat isn't hard to do at all at this park, but my preference has always been in the Lower Box regardless of first base side or third base side.

I am so pissed at myself for being a pansy yesterday. I had my cursor on the "confirm bet" button of the Nationals Moneyline at +250, but just couldnt do it. Gotta go with your gut sometimes. Dammit.

Nah. Last night was just a big one because it was a Lincecum start that could have paid out BIG if I pulled the trigger. I've bet against the Giants a lot this year and have been pretty successful.

There's nothing like making money of your own team's shortcomings.

And I'm not being sarcastic either.
