Indiana is the biggest dark horse here IMO. They've quietly built a very good roster with:
PG: Collison/Ford/Price
SG: Dunleavy/Rush/Jones
SF: Granger/Posey/George
PF: Hansbrough/McRoberts
C: Hibbert/Foster

George has great potential. I can see them taking the 7 seed from us with us getting the 8th seed. From what I remember the Pacers made a pretty good run at the end of last season.

I think Milwaukee has passed Atlanta easily by now. I don't think that playoff series would've been close if Bogut was there. I only see the Hawks regressing to be honest with you. Same team, same #+%%. Every team has gotten better with roster moves and their own internal roster I could see them dipping a bit with us even taking a 6th seed from them. I think the Top 5 are locked with Miami, Orlando, Chicago, Boston, and Milwaukee. I think 6, 7, and 8 can be a real shuffle. I can also see the 8th team being over .500 in the east. I don't think that's happened since 05'.

I read yesterday Bogut could be out for the first month of the season for the Bucks. Something about buildup in his injured elbow.

New Jersey and Charlotte will be ahead of the 76ers and Wizards. I see the Nets in the 9 spot and missing the playoffs by a few games.

I really don't think that New Jersey has a much better roster to all the way to the 9th spot. The addition of John Wall and the development of McGee and Blatche is a lot better then whatever New Jersey added IMO.

I dont really like Indiana that much. Too me every player has alright potential but outside of Granger every single player on that team is unproven. I dont see them being as good as us this season at all. I dont even see Hansbrough being a bi time NBA starter and contributor, let alone in his 2nd season. Hibbert has good size but i still dont know if he is skilled enough to be a quality NBA center, i never liked Dunleavy, and Collison i think will be good but not as good as alot of people think he will be imo. We coulda got Collison if we really wanted to, and i think the fact that we went out and spent actual $ on Raymond Felton instead says alot to who the superior player is. I think Felton will have his best season yet. He has always been good and is a winner with a great attitude, and he was good even in Charlotte's slow $@# offense and led them to their 1st ever postseason appearance. He is still young and i think with his ability to push the ball and with the talent around him (Amare for pick and rolls, Gallo for 3s, Chandler, AR, etc.) I think he will have a break out year for suree.

I really don't think that New Jersey has a much better roster to allthe way to the 9th spot. The addition of John Wall and the developmentof McGee and Blatche is a lot better then whatever New Jersey added IMO.
I agree with this. I cant see the Nets being a 12 win team again this season, but i dont see them jumping all the way to a playoff contender. I see them kind of like we were last year. Somewhere in between 10-12 seed, and at times look like they can make the jump into a low playoff team, but still being way undertalented and inconsistent to do so. I also think the Wizards will be bettwer than them. How much better depends on how well Wall can do. IMO if he goes crazy and runs away with ROY kind of like what Rose did a few seasons back i can see the Wizards taking the 8 spot. But more realistically i see them as a good young team and Blachte and McGee will continue to develop nicely, they have alot of work to do on the wing spots, and they are very young and immature (Blachte especially) so i see them missing the playoffs by a few games. I also see Philly doing better than NJ but thats just me.

I really want to see what teams all these trolls that have been coming in here saying the Knicks will win 30 or so games and miss the playoffs put in front of the Knicks in the EC this season. Its easy to say that we are a 30 win team who wont make the playoffs, but i REALLY want to see them name 8-9 better teams without sounding like a completely biased hater.

Hibbert showed last year that he was a quality center. He's a great passer from the post and he's a huge body. Not saying he's gonna be a monster but he's one of the better young centers out there. And we went out and spent money on Raymond knowing that his contract is done there's still a great chance we get a 2012 Free Agent PG whether it's Paul, Williams, Kidd, Nash, etc.

I can agree with that but NJ will finish higher than 12th place, they have to prove themselves from last yr so they'll play tough, you add that to what kind of coach Avery is (tough, defense minded, motivator) + he already coached Harris in Dallas.

Charlotte can possibly be the ones to miss out. They lost their starting PG, so this role will be new to Augustin and they don't have a backup PG right now.

Now for us, i have a good feeling we make the playoffs, we can potentially had a defensive hacking/ fast break team..

If we make the playoffs, i like our chances vs the Hawks, maybe Chicago

, Milwaukee.

I wouldn't mind playing Miami just for the story and the hell of it.. We win if Walsh get on court and snuff Lebron

What a waste if we miss out on Parker, Paul, Williams to sign a 39yr old Kidd. Nash idk about, he'll probably be better in 2 yrs

Noot baaaad, but I'd flip-flop Chicago and Boston, and then towards the bottom I'd shake things up. I expect a whole hell of a lot out of Washington. Indiana? Ehh, getting Collison was great, but not touching the playoffs. Two and a half solidified positions is not good enough in my books. Charlotte basically had their entire starting five as pretty good players, and they just barely sniffed the Playoffs. I still think they are a playoff team, although still at the very bottom. Washington I expect to be in contention for a seed, but just missing it. Wall, Hinrich, Gil, Blatche, Thornton, and McGee is a hell of a core. With the exception of Gil, all pretty much young guys who have a lot to prove. They brought back Josh, who hopefully will provide for them.

That seems about right though. I'm not expecting much out of Philly, Cleveland, nor Toronto. Detroit has some interesting pieces (Bynum, Stuckey, Daye, Monroe). Philly needs to get rid of Brand, and build around Iggy+Turner. Jersey will be much better, probably just a tad above Indy IMO

If I had to rank em..

1. Miami
2. Orlando
3. Boston
4. Chicago
5. Milwaukee
6. Atlanta
7. New York
8. Charlotte
9. Washington
10. New Jersey
11. Indiana
12. Detroit
13. Toronto
14. Philadelphia
15. Cleveland

I feel weird putting Cleveland on the bottom, but that team is going to be a mess next year.
