pretty much the same thing when we passed on Stoudemire in that Nene Hilario Draft. So we already are the should would coulda been knicks.

we got him 8 years later.

I've seen Rudy play...I actually think he can be a good player.

Him for Chandler is a idiot move though. I dont trust Rudy as a starter till he puts on a few more pounds of muscle. He is a good shooter and athletic but his mindset isnt one I'd want to have on this team. He may just need a change of scenario...but I wouldnt give him Chandler for him if Melo is THAT much determined to come to NYC.

Chandler...something about his game is misadvertised...he's athletic...decent enough defender...good midrange game...ok shooter...but as much of a fan of his I am...his ceiling is a mystery.

I agree with all of that. I like Rudy's game, and i like him coming off the bench as the 2, but idk about him starting and getting rid of Will to bring him here. Will has so many positives and hasnt he reportedly gotten much stronger this summer as well? Id like to see us keep Will and start him at the 2 rather than having Rudy at the 2. I like Rudy but imo he hasnt done enough for me to jump the gun on him and call him a good starting 2 guard. Even if we dont get Melo i dont mind a lineup of Felton/Will/Gallo/AR/Amare with Turiaf, Azibuike, TD, and Walker in the mix at all. IMO thats an exciting team and a low playoff seed. Obviously i want to do anyhting possible to get Melo, but i dont like the idea of trading Will for Rudy

He doesn't have a true go-to move on offense, mainly because he really can't create his own shot. As of right now, he's a prototypical swingman role player. Wilson needs someone who can create for him.

i feel the same way about will... i think you guys are giving him too much credit... i love will just as much as you guys since we all got to see him play obviously compared to rudy but he really hasn't improved year to year and hes a decent shooter at best... and i'm not saying rudy is that much better than will because hes not but he is better than will by a very small margin...like i said before will is a better finisher, defender and more athletic... but rudy can shoot better, is somewhat athletic, and is more versatile on offense... until will improves his J rudy is a better player in dantonis system...and in general hes slightly better than will but not by a lot... i would do this trade because the knicks have nothing to lose without will... hes a good player and all but its not like we trading gallo or AR then i would have a problem... and i forgot to add we have some similar players like will ahem bill walker... hes not as good but hes a poorman version of will no doubt

"Us being in New York is a possibility," LaLa told the Daily News' Amanda Sidman. "It depends on 'Melo's career and where it takes him. There's a lot of talk about the Knicks, I mean, there's a lot of teams out there, he's a great player and I think collectively we just need to think about what makes sense for our family. But I would never say that being in New York is not an option, I'd be lying to you if I said that."

LaLa, who is from Brooklyn, admitted that she's always been a Knicks fan "until I met my husband, then I jumped ship to the Nuggets. 'Melo will tell you, and all the players will tell you no matter where their loyalty is, there aren't many places like Madison Square Garden. They'll all say that, and it's nothing against their teams but there is a different energy in there, and you really can't top that."
