From what I saw, Curry lost his handle and the ball was above his waist when Najera grabbed it and Curry when under his arms trying to secure the ball.

Lee's ##*$!* Defense but nice rebounding and offense VS. Randolph riding the pine, Buike out indefinitely, and Turiaf's decent D and below avg O.

If we didn't throw that money at him another team would have done so, I don't blame Riley for overpaying him. At least he's an upgrade at power forward; having a good to above average defensive-minded center would do wonders for his game, which is why we really need to trade Andris away and use our expirings wisely.

So what if another team signed him? Is he a franchise changing player like a max-contract player should be? And let's not kid ourselves like trading Biedrins will come easily - we'll have to give up something just so another team takes him. He's our problem, not someone else's.

We gave up 3 injured players to sign Lee. He's coming along nicely the last few games...But his defense was piss poor...Let Diaw back him down without effort.

Ah, gotcha. I agree Lee is about $3 mil a year overpaid. My hope is that if Keith were, in fact, Smart, he'd be able to cover up Lee's defensive short comings. A defensive minded Center would be great. We won't be able to trade Biedrins for $%%!. He's with us for the remainder of his worthless contract. But Smart should get Udoh to focus on D, which I think he is capable of becoming quite good at given his raw talent already, and hopefully use the expirings to trade for essentially a defense-only backup center.

Welcome to 10 minutes along where we already established it doesn't have to do with who we gave up. And his defense "was" poor? When did it improve? Luong, you should really sit some of these discussions out and just observe...
We aren't going to cover our defensive deficiencies with just a defensive-oriented center. It'll help but it will not solve our problems long term. Plus it would be a shame to trade away $13 mill of expiring contracts for a one-dimensional player.

I'm just trying to temper my expectations, every time the W's have had trade exceptions or expirings, they have done exactly nothing with it. Utilizing them on something that they need badly like a D specialist, is the best I can hope for.
Edit: Also, I didn't mean they hafta utilize all the expirings on just one guy
