When we went up 9 in the first half, Wade DEFINITELY should have gotten one.

When asked if there was a chance that he could play in this year's NBA Finals, Caron Butler (knee surgery) said Friday that he "believes in miracles."
Nobody wants to fully rule him out, but his chances of playing and/or being effective are doubtful at this point. If he does somehow find his way into some action toward the tail end of the series, his contribution will likely be more emotional than physical.


This guy just loves to keep us guessing.

Also, if were not going to play Peja (which I give him one more shot, let us see how he does at home), Brewer is the candidate to fill in. He has the same size, he has the defensive tenacity we'd need from someone coming off the bench, but I'd love to see us give him a shot if we're not going to play Peja and we're going to rest our starters.

He was our second best player earlier in the season. I know he's well-conditioned right now. I know he wants to come back, but the doctors won't and haven't cleared him

If anything he comes back in limited minutes, taking someone like PEJA'S minutes.

Peja was great for three series, but if someone is detremential to your success, you going to continue that? I said somewhere let him have one more game, at home he should feel more comfortable, but if he shoots 25-30% through four games, you going to keep on going with that? You have to change sometime before it's too late if it ain't working. It's not like he's a great two-way player. We are always hurting when he's on the floor if he's not hitting shots.

Mess up our rotation? Miami done did that already. We tried to play Marion on Bron as much as we can, matching his minutes. Our rotation is dictated by who Miami has on the floor.

Have the Heat gone to their small ball yet with LeBron at PF? In game 2, it was Anthony-Bosh-Haslem making up the C-PF positions. Maybe the Mavs should think about going big with Haywood-Chandler in at the same time and increased playing time for Stevenson if Peja can't get it together. He was worthless in the short time he was playing in game 2. The Mavs had to go to zone twice when he was in to hide him and the Heat still scored.
