First half was clearly decided by the refs, 3rd quarter we played terribly (Space Cadet had me wanting to punch my tv

) but at least we made it close inthe 4th and I hope we can carry the momentum into game 3 and come out and get a big lead early on.

No question, the referees were biased the first half. However, that wasn't the reason the Lakers lost, yet, a lot of you guys are saying the refs are the sole reason for it.

Prior to that run in the 4th, the Celtics outplayed the Lakers, period, and the Lakers gave up too soon and ultimately their run was made too late.

you know what would be better then, let the C's start out with a 20 point lead... then hopefully the game will be called evenly and it'll save somegame time..

I don't see how dudes were saying that was a phantom foul. Son attacked the rim and got hit by 3 different Lakers. Foul. Easy call.

He jumped INTO those 3 Lakers.

You're right; that's a foul, easy call... ON PIERCE. The center laker (whoever it was) already established, planted, and the two on the sides collapsedwhen Pierce committed to the rim, and he just decided 'Hell with that; I'm a bowling ball, and y'all three are some pins."

That's an offensive foul, 50% of the time, every time. For the most part.

I only saw the fourth quarter, but the refs must have made 15+ bad calls if the Lakers were down 24 with 6+ min. left in the game.

Oh well, we'll see what happens in L.A....

No one.

No one said that, but all I saw from reading through this thread was constant complaining over the officiating, as if that was the sole reason you guyslost. Enh, my point was that there were many other reasons why the Lakers lost. They weren't getting blown out by 20+ points because of the referees.

Props to the Lakers for the almost comeback. I admit this was mainly a ref victory, but I assure you, us Bostonians will be on the other end for at least twoof the LA games.

Pierce did get hit on that play. It probably shouldnt have been called due to the timing of the game, but it was a foul.

I am seriously pissed because I know that this game should have been won by the Lakers, I mean we are good enough to beat the Spurs 8 vs 5 but not the Celtics.
