Yea Im pretty sure 29 out of 30 teams feel the same way since only one team will be the winner at the end of the season.

What kind of analogy is that ?

It wasn't an analogy. You've never heard a player like Kg, Kobe, Wade, etc say "If we don't win the title this year, this season isn't a success in my mind" Yeah making the playoffs this season will be an accomplishment bc we haven't been there in forever, but if Carmelo and Amare retire/leave the Knicks with 0 rings but a bunch of 2nd and 3rd round playoff exits, you'd consider there time on the Knicks a success? I sure hope not. All this was done with aspirations of winning a ring (or more), not so we can be competitive

So the 90's Knicks never happened? That '99 run shouldn't mean anything to us? So this last decade was the same thing as losing in the playoffs every year?

You're the one always getting at people for being mad that we're losing and keeps reciting the party line 'this trade wasn't for now, it's for the future.' You're gonna try and tell people they better not be OK with us not winning a ring?

I'm saying we got sick of moral victories week 3. And trust we don't need help figuring out how to feel about losing. We'll take this team however it turns out, whether it's like a pack of mercenaries who can't get it done or like that team that brought back Knicks basketball before the trade. Whatever.

That Kings team, that Supersonics team, that Pacers team, that Magic team, the Mavs, SSOL, that Jazz team. You can't predict that +%*!. It's gonna happen like it's gonna happen and we're gonna take it like we're gonna take it.

I'm glad I let out all my frustration when we lost to Boston. I was one that was pushing for melo and saying give the nuggets everything they want, but damn. This has been disappointing by far. Can't believe these guys be skipping practice too smh. These guys are practicing during the damn game smh. I can't even watch them play. I see no ball movement. Straight iso all day. Pick and rolls aren't there anymore. No one running around screens for a jumper.

Melo would get me mad before but now I'm not even stressing it much.
But

someone

explain

Please

whyyyyyyyyy is landry fields seeing less time?!

Thank god baseball season starts next week and I can watch college ball instead of these dudes practicing during games -___-

So no one is going to mention when melo was out of the timeout huddle not giving a $+*$ and Amare was showing frustration.

And if they lose tonight, it would become their 3rd SIX game losing streak during this season. Y'all can blame the trade all you want. But this goes beyond Melo and Chauncey.

YUP!

Dude was so thirsty, he couldn't even wait till after the season to make that announcement.

1 - 7 since he announced ticket hikes.

Gotta love it...

Yeah if the C's drop down to 3. But with our luck we will probably see Boston in the first round.

I mean what you're saying is basically true.  The Knicks made the trade because they knew they probably couldn't win a chip without another star, even if they're worse in the short term...  The Nuggets are winning and are great to watch but won't be able to beat the big teams when the playoffs come around.
That said, I feel differently.  Maybe I'd rather watch a team full of home-grown players with great chemistry who play an entertaining style.  Maybe in a couple years we could have added another piece or seen Gallo grow into a star, or Felton keep improving.

Am I the only one who feels like we went from being the most fun team in the league to watch to somewhere around the Cleveland Lebrons level of watchability?  So many isos, bad body language, no energy, weak ball movement, bad shots, just the opposite of what we were for the first half of the season.

I really don't like when Melo, Chauncey, AND STAT are on the floor at the same time down the stretch, thats when I see all of them forcing the issue.

The team usually plays better when Melo and STAT are brought in at separate times only because the ball begins to move and the defense consistency begins to show.

Effort is another story.

Anybody been to the flagship store in Soho I still need that black fitted and last time I went they only had an 8 1/4.

True, especially when its just STAT on the floor with TD.
Chauncey be forcing too much shots, to be honest i rather have Douglas on the floor.

There are wayyy to many ISOs for Stat and Melo.  Moving the ball around needs to be taught and preached it seems.  Defense is all about communication and well when their losing the way they have it's kind of hard to be vocal and positive all the time.  My prediction is that Knicks stay in 7th spot and limp into the playoffs and first round knockout.  Dantoni should be gone as well as Billups.

I couldn't care less where the criticism of this team comes from right now because it is all well deserved. Our offense has been more the problem lately. If we gave up 102 a night, I'd be more than comfortable that D'Antoni's system could put up 110+. The parts are just not meshing well right now in this system, and it generally shows itself early in the game and late in the game. It's not until Melo or Amar'e is on the bench that the offense starts to flow during the game. It would almost make sense to have Melo come off the bench, but we all know he would not be able to swallow his pride and do this.

No matter how much u guys want it. Dantoni isn't being fired at the end of the year. Especially if we make the playoffs which we will

Everyone is free to feel how they want but in MY opinion, deep playoff runs don't mean $*$% if you never win a ring. A player can be a legend without a ring bc a great team will beat a great player 85% of the time. But f a team that can't get over the hump n win a title. Were the 90s Knicks better than the Bulls that won 6 rings? Hell no. Better than the Rockets that won twice? Definitely not. So it's not like those Knicks teams lost bc they got robbed. They just didn't have the pieces needed for a ring. We're all young guys in here so we say "I'll still be satisfied with a team that makes deep runs but no ring" bc in your mind they can still eventually win one. But if you're a 45 year old man that hasn't seen a championship with his own eye, you wanna see a team win a title. Nobody plays for 2nd/3rd/4th place. If that's what a player wants, I don't want them here
