thank u. This is why it's so frustrating. Anyway I'm done with the rant

the defense was very good today, not sure why you guys are mad at that. Thought we had alot of heart too

we scored 35 points in the 2nd half. the offensive genius better get to work. I don't think we even have any set plays

but like I said we lost this game at the end of the third quarter.

Same *%*%

different day

And I'm talking about this thread

Limping into the playoffs is not how I want to do it, but we play down to our competition and don't have the composure to settle down. The blame there falls on the coach and the PG. Chauncey is the veteran, he needs to step up when the team is falling apart and settle down Stat and Melo. D'Antoni sat on his hands and didn't take control and it slipped away. It also doesn't hurt the Celtics are a great team and Pierce just likes bending us over whenever he gets a chance. Figure out how to close, learn to settle down, work out these kinks as best as you can before the playoffs and this team has a chance of pulling an upset.

carmelo anthony isn't the problem, maybe during a couple of important plays tonight he got a little carried away, but the loss wasn't his fault.

the team as a whole is underachieving. is anyone going to deny that?

i feel like this team could have almost any combination of good players on the team and still manage to disappoint. and its not knicks fans who are fickle. nitpicking is now when some people make observations about obvious deficiencies or bad plays with this team? that ##*$ ain't nitpicking.

and how can knicks fans be fickle or "fair weather" (which is just about the dumbest comment i've read in the past couple of pages) when we've been supporting the team through it's bleakest moments over the past decade?

we go through ups and downs with this team and continue being frustrated and disappointed, but knicks fans are fair weather now? give me a $%$!%!# break.

If dudes are burning jerseys and talking about sending Melo back to DEN I'd say that's as fickle as it comes. Yall overreact to another level against the majority of losses.

The vast majority of the people in this thread get way too high on wins and unbelievably low on losses.

Tough L, this happens. Orlando on Wednesday.

Well... this just sucks.. honest to god, I'm still optimistic. But on ESPN, seems like they are already putting in the fire Dantoni battery. Idk what's gonna happen. But I might just lay low till we win again.. it hurts even more seeing Denver bust !+%.. and dudes talking bout Gallo being an all star one day

Wow u guys are goin crazy about this...I'm not that mad, I've seen much worse losses over the last 10 years

The last 2 games really makes me feel that losing Felton was actually pretty huge. As much as Billups is a very good player, he can't run the pick and roll and rarely penetrates. I really don't think he's suited to play on this team other than being a 2 guard. As much as I always hate on him, TD looks more like a PG when he's out there than Billups besides the occasional ******ed decisions. Billups was 3 ast, 5 to today, 4 ast, 1 to yesterday, 4 ast, 8 to in det.  He's a good player in the right system, but he has not really looked great in any game besides the Heat game (where he was scoring, not making plays for others) and I really don't see him being the right guy for this team.
They lost this game imo bc of the end of the 3rd, but mostly bc they let them go on a 13-0 run and just could not score. Boston was obviously going to score some pts eventually, and the Knicks right now are not a team that's going to lock anybody down. But the offense should be good enough to prevent 13-0 runs. When there's no penetration by any player and amare plays at the top of the key instead of down low, the best shot u get probably is a contested Melo jumper or an Amare 20 fter/1 on 3 drive. At least I liked they fact they played pretty good defense for 2.5 quarters tonight

I'm still optimistic as well. They want to win...they just don't know how to do it consistently. Growing pains hurt, but it's necessary.

I disagree

Same with Miami... They could just dog in the playoffs

yoooo how we bugging right now? Celtics haven't been playing great, you should hold a 15 point lead but y'all know us, whether it's been Riley, JVG, Isiah, we don't hold leads, ever, period. And especially w/ this team you knew there was a better chance than not of us **@%*#$$ the bed when they eventually came back into the game. We played a low scoring, playoff type game and if a few things went our way we would won. For now, I can live with this. There will be a time when this won't be acceptable, for for tonight I think we can live with this.

I think im bout to drop all the ALl star/ superstar players on my fantasy team since i didnt make the playoffs.. maybe those who made it could pick them up

I admit, I put unrealistic expectations on a game against the #1 team in the East. But like this? It's not the why, it's the how. I just knew choking away a lead was the one thing that could piss me off. I'm just mad that I convinced people to not give up, miss the game and concede the L. Of course, we get 2 1/2 quarters of new look, then everyone chokes at crunch time. Clyde said it the best, it's not about how many points you get, but when. I'm bitter that yet again our closers gave the game away. But respect, the Celtics are who they are.
I'm just like that dude who gets blackout drunk every weekend and says he's done drinking every weekend. This just made me not wanna watch a Knicks game until the playoffs. It doesn't help, that Hahn put all that scrutiny on him, but I blame Melo, because he had the worst collection of stupid plays, bad rotations and ugly shots throughout.

Would people feel better if we didn't watch this last month of games?

The defense from this team is pathetic.

The help rotations are always slow and Amare is a prime culprit. I dunno if they should play more zone or what but it's a huge glaring weakness. I think they should go for Barron to alleviate Amare and Melos minutes and to provide a big body and some help on the Boards. Jeffries at the 5 is a travesty and Turiaf picks up fouls in his sleep.

I think it comes back to the coaching. Mike D'Antoni talks like an oil salesman. He doesnt command the respect of his players like Phil or Pop do.

We need to hire Hakeem as a defensive Assistant for Amare
We need to hire Pippen as a defensive Assistant for Melo
We need to hire Mike Brown as a defensive Assistant for Mike O'antoni

We need a Center

Man if were to get a C like that Varajao dude from the cavs, it would put as up there with the top 3 squads. We need a dude that's all over the paint just banging down low with the bigs in the east. I hope to see us capitalize in this years draft somehow.

Cuz he wanted to get paid as much as he could.

Besides you dudes would've been complaining about the old team now or be looking forward to the summer(AGAIN) and next season with the seed of doubt if Melo would even come here to sign with us. Plus by next season we would just have Gallo, Moz, and maybe Felton.

Nuggets have been in every game since the trade.while were 2 games under 500 since the trade after getting one of the best players in the league.if thats not signs of a bad coach on our part I dunno what is.
