I agree with ATGD7154xBBxMZ...90% of the people that "hate" Carmelo said Amar'e is a bad rebounding, garbage defender, shot chuckin' idiot when the Knicks started the season 3-8..Then when the team went 9-8, they said Amar'e is the NY Savior and he should be MVP..As Knicks fans we know how bad it can get and we're paranoid it'll return to that so we panic every time they slump...Good teams slump all the time so let this rock for awhile..Carmelo hasn't even been a Knick for a whole month..If we get embarrassed in the 1st round of the playoff then you'll all be justified to hate on whichever Knick you want
When we lost to the Mavs coming off back to back wins against quality teams, everyone said
"I ain't even mad"..But because we came off back to back losses to garbage teams, we lose to arguably the best team in the Eastern Conference (same team that has swept the season series against the Heat) and everyone is saying

lets not go through this again. it was a trade that had to be done. nuggets just have a better coach and actually play defense. but i am willing to bet anything we'll win a championship before that team ever does.

I *$%+*** hate when people say this. If you go do some *$%+*** research you'll see that we were forced to *$%+*** do the trade. Denver was gonna deal him to NJ, Denver's owner already said it. Melo would have had to sign to guarantee his money.

If I remember correctly when the Knicks traded for Carmelo they said he was a PIECE of what they needed to win a title..None of the Knicks management said "We bought Carmelo here to win a title immediately." None of the real Knicks fans saw Carmelo as the final piece to a championship..We saw him as one step closer to what we wanted..I'm in disbelief that people can be so angry about a new player that has been on the squad for such little time.
And in case people didn't notice, Felton and Gallo have missed a crap load of games since the trade..Felton doesn't even start..Garbage @## Ty Lawson starts over Ray Felton..Besides Chandler, none of the Knicks lost in the trade have played consistently well for the Nuggets so stop looking at their record n jumping to conclusions..You think a team that consistently made the playoffs would become a lottery team because it lost 2 great players and acquired a few good ones? That's just stupidity

To me its more about how we lose. OK..we have a bunch of new pieces that aren't geling quite yet. But why can't our "offensive genius" of a head coach call up a play for a clean shot in the entire 4th quarter with TWO of the top FIVE scorers in the league on the court? Scue, he would have signed with Jersey. He wanted his money and had advisors and ESPN fools say he risks losing up to forty million dollars. i guarantee you he would have taken the money in Denver or NJ

you can back up melo all you want. I've tried to defend this dude melo but he's making it impossible for me. 6 pts vs Detroit and then he Wants to act like a !*!#% and not say anything to anyone to the team after a loss. Am I the only one that sees this dude has change his attitude?
Lastly, yea I been calling out Amare on his rebounding. So what? What u want me to do? Dude is almost 7 ft and went 2 months not getting 10 rebounds with the exception of a handful of games.
If I say something, it's because as a basketball fan, and as a person who has played ball, when I see something wrong I'm going to say it. Why? Cause I'm a amateur and these guys are pros repping for the city.

im not even mad at melo... sure he gets some blame for taking the shots that he does and also for not passing but you cant deny talent like that... so id still do the trade if i had to do it again... the disappointing thing with this team is the inconsistency, underachievement, terrible execution down the stretch and lack of effort... sure they play hard on offense but on defense its like they don't care... they play hard on D when their shots are falling
