Until we actually have all the pieces in place. If you think we were going to do anything big after the trade like become an elite team with the weaknesses we have then you're heading in to delusional Knick fan territory.

i agree with the last thing shuges said. i don't mind being patient because this isnt euro soccer where the team with the most money can just buy the best players in the offseason. there are salary cap restrictions, contract situations, and "decisions" that are forcing us to be patient in order to build a true contender.

BUT...

i don't have much patience left when it comes to watching a team thats not putting in the EFFORT that they're capable of putting in. if we were a proven veteran team i'd give the players a pass for coasting in the regular season. but a team with a brand new roster should NOT be taking games off on a consistent basis. they should be striving to get better game by game. every new team of stars should model themselves after the celtics team that won the title. they were #@@##%* teams up and blowing them out, but they were NEVER content with where they were at. being content, and barely +.500 disgusts me when you have two players who started in the ASG on your team and a former finals MVP. this team seems to just not give a !!%! and is just waiting for the playoffs, but they're going to be in for a rude awakening when they realize you can't just flip the switch on in the postseason.

... what can i say i'm a passionate fan when it comes to my Knicks and i would expect other fans to be passionate as well because it is a new york sports team...with that being said i have all the praise for when the team does well and talk smack when they do terrible which should be well deserved... this is how it is for NY fans... you see it on TV or in person MSG crowds boo the Knicks if they are playing terrible its that simple... i understand this is a process but its just frustrating to watch this team be so inconsistent when they have legit players on their team which is like the first time in a decade...its also frustrating that this team makes the same mistakes and doesn't learn from them... I don't have unrealistic expectations for this team... i just want them to play hard on both ends of the court... and on defense you rarely see that... they don't have to be defense stoppers but put effort and try... and what i mean by that is put a hand up, box out for rebounds, talk on defense to teammates and foul a guy hard coming to the basket to make them scared like what oakley would do...but at the end of the day win or lose i'll still support my Knicks even if they garbage and below .500... i might turn the TV off if they get blown out but i still support them 100%

and for the record i'm not one of those Knicks fans on here whos blasts the whole franchise saying fire the coach, trade the whole team and F dolan... i'm not that extreme... i will just criticize their play because like i said im loyal to this team regardless of the losing... i guess you can say i'm use to the knicks being garbage so im not quick to throw them under the bus

I think the weird thing about our thread is that it's the season thread AND the game threads. On top of that there have always been so many Knick fans that this thread won't ever act like the other season threads (be completely dead while they're losing and only pop up once in a while with news or big moments).

The people acting wild part is the game thread part. I mean, that's just dude's getting the moment off their chest. Yeah, it's a bit extra when the other dudes who I KNOW had the exact same quick gut feeling, just sit tight and wait to try and slap dudes back with it. So what's the rule on it? Some of yall steady wait an hour or two and then start calling dudes out. Should someone make a game thread for every game then?

Most teams on our level don't even have a season thread. And especially wouldn't make 20 pages out of a home and home with the Pacers.

How do yall think we got to 1000 pages?

It's the postgame posts that get me.

About this being a season and game thread all of the other threads are like that unless they're on national television. Other threads either don't have as many fans as we do on NT or don't care enough. Makes no sense making 82+ game threads

amare, melo, billups are going to take up almost all of the cap space. center's don't grow on trees. We gave away 2 2nd round picks AND a first rounder (not this year's).

we basically have 1 pick to turn everything around next year because with our luck the MLE won't even exist after the new CBA.

This team is basically set for next year unless you don't pick up Billips option and we get a crazy piece with the MLE (if it exists), and walsh makes an excellent pick in a terrible draft.

We have no reason to complain.we get killed on the boards on a nightly basis and give up second and third opportunities for the opposition to score.to top it off we suck on defense and on top of that our most aggressive big man does not rebound.another thing amare and Melo get atleast 2 to 3 offensive fouls a game it seems.

That's almost like a team saying shooting is our biggest weakness.

It felt to me Melo was calling out whoever was guarding Tyler. We aint play no zone in the game not that it would've probably helped but can somebody suggest some adjustments we should've made? Double team him? I mean we got 4 players hot on the Pacers last night.
