Well when none of those players are known for not doing any of things you just mentioned I can't say it's just the coach. The starting lineup has only changed two positions. The bench is more of the same we already had with imo old guys or bums.Originally Posted by DubA169

We've been doing that all season though.
there has to be a reason this happens constantly with different players right?
It's not just effort though. IMO a lot of it has to do with team image. We lost our defensive swag that we had in the 90s. These problems we've been having have been festering before all the players we have now and way before D'Antoni. I don't know if you realize this but players look at the Knicks kind of the same way they look at the Heat, especially at MSG. Because of our reputation as a basketball town and MSG's reputation players always get up to play us. And because of the fact that we no longer have an image that even resembles any kind of defensive intensity, players who play against us play with and shoot with way more confidence. I've been noticing this trend for quite some time now. Watch this video from just the other week , start at 15 seconds. Anthony Parker just pulls up like f it, its the Knicks what do I have to lose lol. There is no defensive fear in the hearts of opposing teams. Every opposing player feels like they can hit a big shot on us and it shows. Teams with nothing to lose are our worst enemies because they play with confidence against us.Originally Posted by gregbutler20
Couldn't have said it better myself. They let bums get away with murder. No effort........at all.Originally Posted by DubA169
This has NOTHING to do with being Elite.
we are constantly giving people career nights. losing to trash teams. we let them have wide open shot after wide open shot. That's not having size. That's effort and terrible defense.
not defending until the last minutes of a game. So much wrong. Acting like people are mad over losing to dallas and boston or something.
the cavs twice and the pacers twic, giving up 120 points is unacceptable

They definitely need size. But as quoted above:Originally Posted by REDd SPYDER

See, that would be all well and good if management didn't come and %!%@* slap the fans with a ridiculous ticket hike. Management aka Dolan is the one who is putting the expectations out the stratosphere for this team. You can't say you're gonna charge X amount now b/c "we're gonna make the playoffs" (when you haven't even officially made the playoffs yet) and expect fans to NOT be upset when you lose games like this. Sorry, can't have it both ways.... Telling the diehards to calm down and take it easy when the expectations for this team are higher than that. If LAL fans and Miami fans can go into crisis mode when their teams lose to the Cavs or go into a funk, then Knick fans (with the expectations that Dolan put on the team) definitely have a right to hit the panic button as well.Originally Posted by RavageBX

Just from an outsiders perspective you have two NBA superstars you'd at least assume that the team will be good and make the playoffs.Originally Posted by SHUGES
