.3 has to be a tip in, right? Melo wasn't gonna have time to catch and shoot. Not sure why he's mad other than being traded to a team that sucks at defense(him included).

He would've had time if he caught and shot simultaneously like if he jumped when the pass was coming to him and threw it up. Probably would've missed anyway.Originally Posted by youngin33

Ya'll need to stop crying so much every time something goes bad. We're doing what we can with what we have. It's obvious we need to make quite a few more moves to be truly competitive with the elite teams in the league. No point in amping yourselves into thinking we're going to beat every team with 2.5 quality starters. All I want this year is to make the playoffs and see who is worth keeping and who needs to go. We need a big man, a younger point and a two who can take it to the hole. We've got a long way to go.

ya but its frustrating how we lose... giving up way too many points to below .500 teams and having opponents have career games against usOriginally Posted by RavageBX

This has NOTHING to do with being Elite.
we are constantly giving people career nights. losing to trash teams. we let them have wide open shot after wide open shot. That's not having size. That's effort and terrible defense.
not defending until the last minutes of a game. So much wrong. Acting like people are mad over losing to dallas and boston or something.
the cavs twice and the pacers twic, giving up 120 points is unacceptable
I mean I don't like it either but I would be more frustrated if it were a case of players not playing up to their ability. But that's not it. We don't have defensive pieces. Our stars are offensive minded and our role players suck on defense. So who exactly is supposed to stop people from having career games against us? Look at the last play of the game. Shawne Williams on Granger. Think about that. Offense can work as long as you have outstanding offensive players. However, defense cannot work unless you have 5 players who all know and understand simple defensive concepts. We don't have that. And we can't even fake the funk without a proper center. It all trickles down in the rotations and we get exposed. Since we don't have great defenders we need to play great team defense a la Chicago, which is not something D'Antoni teaches. We lost a lot of firepower and now we can't outscore teams how we used to. It is what it is. Take this season with a grain of salt and hope that the moves we need to make are made. It's not gonna get any easier. Anyone who thought it would after the trade is a fool.Originally Posted by you go boy
