I think a new era has begun.

I was like 10 at the time, and loved playing ball.  They were nasty, gritty, and played hard defense. They were Patrick Ewing surrounded by role players that did what they needed to do, Anthony Mason, and Charles Oakley the enforcers, they represented the city beautifully. But they also broke our hearts, Charles Smith again??? John Starks, everyones favorite underdog in game 7 against houston, doing what he did best shoot the ball, except he wasn't making a damn thing. Our hearts were invested in them. My how the times have changed, ever since JVG left we just now are starting to recover..... IN DONNIE I TRUST!

We can't beat Boston in a 7 game series, but everyone else in the East is in for a tough match up vs our team come playoff time and it should be exciting.

If we have so many issues up front why doesn't Sheldon get some burn, is he THAT horrible of a rebounder? Turiaf got in foul trouble yesterday as expected, and Mike had Shawne playing C at one point.

I still don't think Barron will have much of an impact. He played 7 games and the end of the season on a terrible Knicks team. There's a reason no one has been trying badly to sign this guy.

jared has height and length, but isn't really a presence inside. IIRC a lot of the time he was guarding perimeter players here and just kind of playing a 'center field' role in our zone D.

Exactly.

Man any knick fan who watches knick games know how jeffries helped us.

We do not need any scorers, we need defense. Every team has a defensive stopper execpt us,
not saying jeffries is but on D he was above average.

Not the starting line up but for a couple mins in a game

Billups - Melo - Jeffries - Amare - Turiaf, would be a very good defense / offense balance

I been saying this all year

We are not like Miami, they need to surround themselves with shooters

Billups / Melo / Amare are very good shooters.. we surround em wit defensive.. hustle players

Yeah we need guys that are going to rebound especially offensively. We can't depend on Fields to do all the dirty work in the playoffs.

Hopefully the defensive sub ins of Brewer-Jeffries-Barron can help us out. I honestly think Walker and Shawne should be treated as 3pt specialists cuz they don't be bringing a lot more than that. So I say buy out Carter, Balkman, and Sheldon.

On another note yall should be use to Mike putting Shawne at the C. I couldn't even scoff when I saw him guarding Bogut

I would probably keep Shawne over Walker

Shawne plays D and hits threes

Walker just shoot threes 4 feet away from the 3pt line

He do though right

with that weird shooting form sticking his butt out. I bet he and TD be competing for who can shoot the farthest away from the 3pt lilne

I would've been fine moving Walker for cash but it's no point talking about it now. Maybe in the off season we'll at least drop the players who will not be getting pt and fill it up with 2nd rounders and Euro players.

Walker has a good game every now and then. But repeatedly taking those long 3s is annoying and bad offense

You are. If anything, Douglas' minutes are going to skyrocket. Barring an injury, Rautins is only playing during mop-up time & if/when Douglas or Billups fouls out/gets ejected.

I love Rautins but he would get eaten alive on D, not even a good ball handler either, I like him tho as a long term project but how many of those actually stick with their original team?

I'd like to see Rautins play in a game that doesn't count

Nice. ORL would be a mistake. Matter of fact all those teams but the Knicks would be a mistake.
