Serious question.

Vince Carter was so bad last night he might have inadvertently cost us the game. We normally would've taken a timeout before that last possession(bad Pierce TO), but we wanted Pierce to go up against Vince and not lot the defensive subs happen.

1-9 with 3 pts with Ray Allen covering you? Wow.

The Cavs aren't title contenders now either, so what's Chris's point?

3 teams can win it all this year. Boston, Orlando, and the Lakers.

Cavs aren't title contenders? Ooooookay.
Somebody check Boston's record vs +.500 teams please. Those losses? They came AT home.... I'll wait. Oh yeah, and check the age of their core while you're at it.

Orlando has almost the same record as last year, but they are a worse defensive team statistically. Vince is really helping them with his 30% FG shooting.

The East is up in the air, but to say that the Cavs are NOT contenders is laughable. But seeing who typed up this comedy comes to no surprise. You didn't even back it up with anything

Oh, I'm better, trust that.

Yeah, Boston sucks, best road record in the NBA, a win IN ORLANDO WITHOUT PAUL.

Good call genius

I don't care how old Boston is, they are superior to the Cavs. No doubt about it.

QFT

Title Contenders but can't even make it back to the Finals with a better team?

No sir, no bookmark, I just searched for the thread, I knew it was in there.  I remember that day very very well.

Maybe next year dude will listen to me, but I doubt it.  They'll get a few regular season wins under their belts and start yappin that yapp again.  *shrugs*  I'll be there to check em every step of the way as always.

Allen was pretty upset by my comments as well.  He was all sorts of beside himself when I said "not contenders"

chesters project though?!!...wheres it at man?

Chicago has gone through back channels to guage Phil Jackson's interests in a possible return to Chicago next season.

It's on ESPN.com somewhere

i think if we dont win this year.......if phil goes to chicago then bron WILL be a bull guaranteed
Eddy Curry Can't Pay His Bills
Curry, who made $273,000 per minute the past two seasons, hasn't paid a personal loan he took out in 2008. It was a five-month loan, at 85 percent interest. Wait until you read what he spent his money on instead.

For some reason, Curry took out a a $570,000 loan two years ago. And for some reason, he did it in Las Vegas, the only place an 85 percent interest rate is legal. And for some reason, he hasn't paid a single penny on it. It's now ballooned to upwards of a million dollars

In court papers, Curry detailed his expenses to try to explain why he can't pay back the loan.

•$30,000 a month in household expenses, not counting $1075 a month for cable and satellite TV service. Dude must be getting porn channels us regular folk haven't even heard of.
•$6,000 a month for a personal chef. If he lowered that to $5,000, he probably wouldn't have clashed with Mike D'Antoni about his weight.
•$350,000 he owes Juwan Howard, for reasons that we're afraid to look into.
•$17,000 a month toward his relatives and dependents, to whom he's given many of his 12 luxury cars.
"Mr. Curry appears to be a very, very generous man," [Allstar Capital lawyer Donald] David said. "He appears to have taken it upon himself to support every person named Curry on the East Coast."

Curry already has his wages garnished, and got a $2 million advance from the Knicks. Why? To pay off his mansion in Chicago, which was foreclosed upon, and also an unpaid bill from Casual Male Big and Tall clothes.

Hey, you think Curry might exercise his $11 million option for next season?

I was expecting you.
laugh.gif

No, they weren't contenders because they were bums, like I said last year, then like I said this year.

And I was right, both times.  But I know, "any team with Lebron the King James is automatically a contender no matter blah blah blah"

So, why should I believe Orlando was a contender this year now if they lose their next game?

I don't know, believe what you want.  My personal belief FROM JUMP was the Cavs were not contenders.  And I was right, correct?

I mean, the Bucks made the playoffs, do you consider them contenders?  Well, there's where i place the Cavs.  Amongst other playoff teams that didn't have a shot at a title.

Personal preference I guess.

Losing to one of the 4 other teams in the NBA with a real shot to win it all doesn't mean Cleveland wasn't a contender...

Cleveland
Boston
Orlando
Los Angeles

That was about it all year, though people threw Dallas and Denver around in there for stretches as well.

^
See, again, NO.

"people" can throw whatever @#$%^& teams they want.  Dallas and Denver.  pffffff.  I said same thing about Denver, they are awesome talented, but brain dead as hell, non contender.  Period.

I didn't say this crap last week, or a month ago, I said it in 2009.  And the season showed it out.

Sacremento is a contender too, they play in the NBA.

Allen did, or at least wanted him to
laugh.gif

He proposed Curry take a buyout, and resign him an extra 3 years in return.

Does anything think knicks have the asset to take the #2 pick from Philly?

i honestly wouldnt mind taking on Brand or Dalembert's contract if they were really willingly to do that.
