He walked out on the company in 2014 when he didnt get to headline Wrestlemania in 2013 and had some gripes about his treatment.
He sued the company and they sued him.
He criticized the company and attacked the wrestlers who worked there.
Basically said going to WWE would be a failure move on his part.
Called out HHH, Vince, Steph, etc.. in disparaging ways.
A lot of the people he messed with in AEW are close friends with people in WWE.
Despite all this, has come back to be the top star with no repruccussions.
BAsically hes rubbed a lot of people the wrong way and has done so much selfish stuff, garnered so much heat, one would think dude would be blackballed from wrestling, but dude is so beloved by the fans and since hes so popular hes gotten away with everything.
But if he wasnt the way he was, the people wouldnt love him and he wouldnt be a draw in wrestling.
Despite how toxic he is, having a program with him will catapult you to the top top, like whats about to happen to Seth.
