the bright crimson really grew on me so I am really tempted to get the ZFs but I have this inkling feeling it'll go on sale down the line

Got my Bright Crimson Zoom Fly's yesterday after 2 VaporFlys that my left foot arch did not like. Are the Zoom Fly's supposed to run .5 small? Almost feels too snug.

I like it but I don’t think I like it for me. Too lavender. I’m undecided on keeping them.

If you got it from NDC then run in them and just return if it doesn't work out.

my ice blues are slightly snug, but not enough to warrant a size up from my true size. i laced up normally and felt no discomfort during runs.

were you wearing something thin like elite running socks when you tried them on? i didnt have the best experience with normal cushioned socks because i got some pretty bad achilles rub during a run. now i only wear them with nike tabbed socks...no issues.

This sounds about right. Just strange how the VF and 2 Vapormax fit perfect at this size, yet these ZF + Streak 6 are so tight & run .5 small. Wish they had this ZF sole in the VF. Would totally correct my inner foot arch issue where the VF has that narrow sole with the edge oddly protruding. Also miss the wider toe box in the VF. These ZF are STIFF, as others have mentioned.
(I even tried slipping different soles inside the VF to fix my arch problem before I sold them, but felt weird)

Initially tried them without socks, then with socks they are TIGHT, stiff, restrictive, uncomfortable. Sending them back, may not reorder size ups.

i also went 1/2 size up on both the VF/ZF. from my experience the zoom fly need 30-40 miles to break in. they are very stiff at first. Very comfy now having 130+ miles on my first pair.

Got the Chicago's today they are a tight fit go .5 up or keep your toenails trimmed...returning them

well your toenails should always be trimmed no matter what but yah size up

The majority of the men's Elite group had them on today - not to mention both Men's and Women's winner both had them on. Jordan Hasay also had a pair on and was holding them during her post-race interview. Can't wait for this colorway to drop, they look so good and really pop. Here's another pic:
