I don't remember QB play ever being this bad in the NFL in my 25 years of watching, the fact it is a passing league really exposes how awful to average at best most of the QB's in the NFL are

I feel bad for AP

Well I was wrong I thought Gresham would show up but he pulled his alter ego who sucks and shows up FAR too often. Dalton missed an open AJ for the lead but didn't even target his till mid 3rd Q. D bended but didn't break, however all in all crappy performance by the team and Marvin in a big spot....par for the course.

What did Marvin do? Dalton was awful, Gruden called an awful game, Gresham was awful. Not sure that Marvin did anything to cost the team this one. Maualuga was awful covering TEs as usual. Blaming Marvin is like the easy out.

Jay Gruden called one of the worst playoff games I have seen in a very long time.

Law-Firm runs for 29 yards...then follows that up with a 11 yard run...

THEN YOU DECIDE TO NOT GIVE HIM THE BALL ANYMORE. :|

Andrew Hawkins which is your Darren Sproles, the most explosive receiver you got only had 1 CATCH for 7 yards?

AJ GREEN was not involved or targeted in the first 2 1/2 QUARTERS...
AGAIN...
AJ GREEN, who some would say is a top 3-5 WR in this league right now...did not have a play drawn up for him the entire 1st half of a playoff game?

NOT 1...

:x :{

Horrible man. He lost this game in my eyes.

All those WEAK *** screen plays...none of which fooled the texans. All telegraphed, all predictable. :rolleyes

Bengals D played with a lot of heart, i mean they only gave up 1 TD... to an explosive offense.

And what does Bengals O do?...NOTHING. ZERO. ZILCH.

Very disappointing. Im shocked at how bad their offensive game plan was. :{

But on the brighter side, ARIAN FOSTER is a straight up stud. Dude is unreal :x :Nthat

Offense has been horrible past 3-4 games. What you put on Jay I put on the HC since it is his team and he hasn't done anything to change their philosophy to generate points. And they go away from running the ball which was working. Defense got gashed by Foster and they let it happen. Schaub didn't throw well, make him throw the ball down field. Blame goes all around but just add this game to the list of Marvin's big game losses. His last real good signature win (that I can think of) is Pittsburgh in 2005. He got the Bengals to respectability but I don't see him pulling them farther than that.

Watching that Packers/vikes game last night, I couldn't help feel that Harvin's impact on the game (remember him getting slight MVP talk early in the year) would have been greater than Ponder's, but that was only the third time I'd watched a Vikings game all year (Vs. niners, Vs. Skins) so I could be uninformed.

That said I hope Justin Smith is healthy, because the Packers O looks good, and my niners d has been going the wrong way since he went out against the pats.

Well then we just have to agree to disagree because when you have this OCoordinator who everyone is hyping up for HC jobs then his gameplan should be much better. Saying we should've made Schaub throw the ball downfield is so much easier said than done when Foster was killing us, the DLine wasn't getting any pressure, and Maualuga was clearly their gameplan's target it pass coverage. What exactly is a signature when? He's coached a team to the playoffs 3 of the last 4 years. Signature wins are in the playoffs and those are where he's empty handed.

exactly...what HAS he done in his time? how many playoff wins?

he's turned around that team and got them going in the right direction, but i don't think he's got what it takes to get them over the next hurdle. it's not usually fair, but usually it''s the head coach who's head gets chopped. i'm not blaming marvin specifically...but his team continues to come up short in big spots.
