They also have two first-rounders too. QB and WR with an RB in the 2nd and suddenly they could have an above-average offense to go with that very good defense.

they went rb qb in the 1st a couple drafts back and we saw how that played out

So? What's that got to do with a new regime?

Where's all this hate coming from for the Browns? Jeez.

Got to give dude more than 1 season tho. No high profile coach is goin to the Browns so you gonna have to give someone some run. And it wasnt like Chud was a diff regime's hire. That was their guy

Brownies arent moving anywhere . they have the most loyal fan base in all of the NFL

Not really. They wanted Chip and he spurned them. Once that happened they had to play catch up while other teams hired their guy, so they had to settle with Chud.

Ok.."above-average" then. Goodness.

Point is, winning is a cure all. They made the right choice with Richardson and probably felt Chud was a mistake. Instead of letting the situation linger, they said screw it and felt starting over again would be better in the long run. It's very conceivable. Chud wasn't anything special anyway.
Richardson was brilliant.  And cutting ties with a coach after one year isn't necessarily a bad thing.  But it's the way they did it.  Bringing Chud in while he gushes in his opening presser about being a lifelong Browns fan, not giving him the tools to succeed, and then firing him when he didn't lose the locker room or anything close...  That's what sends out bad signals.

And any guy they get now is going to know he's not their top choice, and feel he might end up like Chud.  What if Gase signs, and then McDaniels decides he's in the mood to coach next season?  He might be worried he'll get kicked out the door too.

Anyone else think Bradford is no good and the Rams should be looking to draft a QB?

If somehow the Texans do take Clowney, they need to pull the trigger on Teddy.

I have a very low opinion of Bradford as an NFC West fan.

That's true of any team. Once you hit on a QB though, it only takes once and you're good to go.

True. that's why I was making reference to the Weeden, Richardson picks. Their D is good but could use another corner

That's my point. You settled on him, but then discarded him a year later as if there's some top guy waiting in the wings. I know the season didn't end well but you bench your starter, the next guy is lost for the season. Then ship off your "franchise" rb and finish the yr with the 3rd qb and no one in the backfield. I think he deserved at least another yr unless there were philosophical differences moving forward between upper mgmt. and Chud

McNair talking about Watt would be a great mentor for Clowney :rolleyes

Smoke screen I know, but makes you wonder :rolleyes

Better not do anything stupid.

I think it's a smoke screen too. I'm just excited that with this traditional 3-4 we're going to, the Texans will no doubt get the NTthick nose tackle they've been needing for....12 years now

And yes, the Rams need to be washing their hands of Bradford. He's exactly what's stalling them out.

I'd probably be in the minority but I give him another year. Looked very good in '12 with a sub-par core & an injured Amendola. Looked decent this year with a very lackluster and inconsistent WR/TE core.

Austin came around towards the end of the year but I don't think Givens is an answer.

What would you say is one thing he does really well (not meant to be rhetorical)?

if anything we need to be hyping up one of these quarterbacks, and hope someone trades us something stupid :lol

i'm looking at you cleveland.

His accuracy is what I like the most about him. He's always been hurt by WR's with butterfingers but he's also struggled with it before. I think he took a good step forward in '12/part of '13 with the timing and placement.

I think if he had a developed deep threat, like Austin showed he could be, he'd trust the deep ball a little more. Givens/Amendola burned him a bit.

A friend of mine is a big Rams fan out in Missouri and he's always claimed he's had trust issues with em but IDK about that.

Is this sarcasm? Because having "the most loyal fan base in all of the NFL" didn't stop them from moving to Baltimore...

That had nothing to do with the fanbase :lol that was strictly greed and anguish displayed by Art Model....and the reason why the team came back so quickly (4 years) was because of the team-history and fanbase loyalty, jack.

I wouldn't say Chip "spurned" them, and if they thought that then they were stupid to think he was actually coming there and not having a good backup plan.

Chip sure as hell spurned the Bucs though and had us randomly panic-hire Schiano.

Ugh...just hearing the words "Schiano" and "Raheem" make me cringe every time.

Maybe that's who I was thinking...But I know the Browns were very interested in Chip and was almost waiting for him.

Giants hire Macadoo as OC.

I thought Bradford was a free agent this summer? Still not sure what I think of him. He's had new coaches almost every year and not a lot of talent.

From reddit-

If the Pats win on Sunday, they will have reached the Super Bowl in 50% of all seasons where Brady starts.

And you guys rank this guy #5

So what's that...Like 45% of the seasons Belichick coached? He's the reason.
