Brady could be 4 on my list but he'll never get into my top 3. He's been impressive but I think a lot of that is due to Billy Belichick. I think all of the QBs on my list win more than three rings with BB if you swap them with TB

You're completely ignoring the amount of times Peyton Manning has crapped his pants in the playoffs. 8 one and dones? 8 AFC Championship appearances for Tommy football.

montana didn't have a great coach? he wasn't surrounded by superstars?
marino had shula
peyton has talent all around him on offense

they all had help in some fashion

i'm fine if your top 3 is your top 3. but let's not act like those three carried teams all on their own. marino is the only one that played with minimal talent around him.

I already said, rings had zero impact on my list. Brady is in my top 5, not like I said he was a bum. I understand QBs are the leaders but it's a team game. Some of those games, Peyton should have won but he's still one of the best. I don't hold rings in the same regards as some of you. Eli, Bradshaw, Plunkett and Troy should be high on some of your lists that are based around rings.

?
Did you watch the Chargers/Broncos game last night and ask yourself throughout the first 3 quarters "why are these idiots going with such conservative play calls and not letting Rivers throw?".  the answer is Ken Whisenhunt and he did it all year long

Wiz took the 31st total offense and turned it into the 5th total offense in one season. Good OC, not sure how he'll do as a head coach after Arizona.

If he can do for Locker what he did for Warner in Arizona (along with some good health), I think he'll be okay. They have the weapons.

Damn. Happy to see the love for Warner. I considered him a top 10 guy and future Hall of Famer a few years ago.

Heard the Browns have some interest in Schiano....don't do it Browns I want you guys to be good.

I want the Lions to be good too but they hired possibly an even worse coach than Schiano.

If I had to rank them, I would do something like this...

1. Montana
2. Manning
3. Brady
4. Elway
5. Marino

Old school team, I would have (can't really rank them since I have only watched old clips and video on them)

Johnny U
Terry Bradshaw
Roger Staubach
Fran Tarkenton
Bart Starr

Just to stir things up a little bit, but where do you guys have Favre on these lists? He has the rings, records, and awards just like the other guys here have...

He's #8 on my list. People remember too much of the bad with Favre. Young Brett was fun as hell to watch.

Favre would be in my top 10. Probably around 7 or 8 maybe. He was great but he made a lot of mistakes.

for the people who don't consider rings to have ANY impact...i don't see how you have montana topping your lists

He is close to the best I've ever watched in my years. In a 10 year span:

Year Team G-S Passing Att.-Comp. Yards Pct. TDs Int. Long Sacks-lost Pass rating Starting record
1999 St. Louis 16–16 499–325 4,353 .651 41 13 75 29–201 109.2 13–3
2000 St. Louis 11–11 347–235 3,429 .677 21 18 85 20–115 98.3 8–3
2001 St. Louis 16–16 546–375 4,830 .687 36 22 65 38–233 101.4 14–2
2002 St. Louis 7–6 220–144 1,431 .655 3 11 43 21–130 67.4 0–6
2003 St. Louis 2–1 65–38 365 .585 1 1 37 6–38 72.9 0–1
2004 N.Y. Giants 10–9 277–174 2,054 .628 6 4 62 39–196 86.5 5–4
2005 Arizona 10–10 375–242 2,713 .645 11 9 63 23–158 85.8 2–8
2006 Arizona 6–5 168–108 1,377 .643 6 5 64 14–104 89.3 1–4
2007 Arizona 14–11 441–281 3,417 .623 27 17 62 20–140 89.8 5–6
2008 Arizona 16–16 598–401 4,583 .671 30 14 79 26–182 96.9 9–7
2009 Arizona 15–15 513–339 3,753 .661 26 14 45 24–172 93.2 10–5

That's an amazing run in a 10 year span which sandwiches one of the worst benchings of a starter I can think of when Coughlin sat him.

Lions hire Caldwell...

Bwahaha.

This isn't as funny anymore. Apparently, Zimmer wants to bring Linehan in to be the OC. That sucks. :lol

And I guess Minnesota wants to interview Dan Quinn again, but doesn't want to risk losing Zimmer. Just hire the man! Should be official some time today from what's being said. I don't know where these rumors come from though.

I was just wondering because I thought I remembered there being some crazy debates over Favre and his legacy. Sure he played too long, but Those Packer years and even at first with the Jets, he was a true gun slinger.

Yea he did throw a ton of INTs since he always thought he could make the throw. You know who grew up with Favre as their favorite QB......Romo :D

I like the Warner love as well though. If we could keep him in STL or AZ and wipe out that NYG year, he would look a lot better to some people :lol

Peyton will be 1 on my list in a few years. I don't feel comfortable moving him to that spot while he's still playing. Marino and Montana are neck and neck for me.

bobby stays posting those ugly and tough to read stat grids :lol

It's been this way since we moved to Huddler or w/e the **** it is now.

Back on Yuku/EZboard, I could put in on a spreadsheet or something and copy and paste it over smooth as hell. I know you remember that :lol

Now, even if I balance it out in my post preview, it still mucks it up.
