Cam Newton did that too himself

Sally Jenkins is a Mike Shanahan mouthpiece (read Mike Shanahan is her "source"), just like Schefter.
So like people have said, take what these people say with a grain of salt.
I am somewhat. What about Sally Jenkins makes her unfit to speak or write on any matters pertaining the Diplomats specifically??
At what point in time do you and others that are siding with RGIII at least ask yourselves with all the negative stories coming out about RGIII, why would the press, teammates, or others for that matter just come out negatively against RGIII for no reason at all?
As far as RGIII being voted captain, what NFL team wouldn't or doesn't have their starting QB as their captain, that might have happened in Tampa Bay this year but we see what happened with Josh Freeman shortly thereafter. Also, the Ed Block Courage award goes to the player on that team that overcame the most ADVERSITY. Yeah RGIII overcame alot of adversity in the off-season but that's about it as far as that award is concerned.
People have access to the telephone, e-mail, faxes, and text messages nowadays champ. There's more than one way to stay in touch with what's going on in the streets, or in this case........the locker room.
Edit--
Also, you wanna talk about awards @DoubleJs07
I got one for you right here as it pertains to Sally Jenkins champ..........
"She was named the nation’s top sports columnist in 2003 and 2010 by the Associated Press Sports Editors."
Google Sally Jenkins and Lance Armstrong.
Google Sally Jenkins and Joe Paterno.
Like i said, take what she says with a grain of salt when it comes to her and the football team from Washington.
Doesnt mean she's not a credible writer, but she has been WRONG before despite her "credentials."
This story just doesn't seem real, can't imagine a NFL player actually bragging about something like that. And from what I've seen over the years I wouldn't trust many Sally/******** story's either. So I agree with the Skins fans on this particular case.
But it's not just Sally saying these things tho, it's literally almost the entire press nationwide . Don't know why people are acting like everyone in the media just woke up one day and decided to bash RG3. Not saying all of the stories are true, but RG3 supporters pass off every single one as the media just hating. With RG3's Heisman comment, operation patience, comments from Garcon/Santana, etc, it's not hard to believe some of these stories, most of these stories might be true.
Oh, that completely changes things. Dan Shaughnessy was #2 on the list in 2011. What a prestigious award.
No one is saying RGIII is blame-free here. He needs to mature alot this offseason. He also needs to improve as a QB.
But it's funny the kind of character assassination he has been receiving these past few weeks as Mike Shanahan's job was on the line. What better way to screw the team that fired you than to bash the franchise QB on your way out
It's pretty easy to decipher, Mike Shanahan picks up the phone and gives these writers his side of the story. They run with it because after all he is an "insider" and boom. A report of RGIII and Snyder's relationship comes out on a GAMEDAY. THe next week, another report comes out hours before another game. You think that's coming from a teammate or assistant coach? I don't think so.
This isn't the first "report" of RGIII doesn't something negative or having a selfish attitude. At what point in time do folks say, maybe, just maybe there might be some truth about what is being said?? Like someone said earlier, it's not like different people just woke up one day and just said "you know what.......let me say something negative about RGIII of all people just because"

BS.I don't think they even thought that when Al Davis drafted him.At one point Raider fans thought he was/would be better than Crabtree... Oh the nerve.
2. The argument didnt stop until the 2012 season. And it started their rookie years. I remember. I was a major part of said discussions. lolThere was a lengthy discussion 2-3 seasons back if I remember correctly. At one point Raider fans thought he was/would be better than Crabtree... Oh the nerve.
Hell no DHB was never better
No he didnt look like he warranted the pick early in his career. But to be fair, he had Alex Smith throwing him balls.....or not throwing him balls rather.
But I said it then and it still is true. As underwhelming as Crabtree looked early in his career, at no point in their respective careers was DHB the better player.
DHB did have 975 yards in 2011 though
He still has not fixed how he catches the ball! Still tries to catch it with his chest.
I got no love for the guy, glad he stayed at Palo Alto another year. Best thing that could've happen.
I just read through all the **** talking posts that yall hit up during the kc vs colts game and most of that **** was funny, especially that one about me getting my sis from the mall. But this post above is the dumbest **** ive ever read this dude keeL252 is a straight clown...
I remember Carson doing well with a couple of those young receivers, actually.DHB did have 975 yards in 2011 though
In regards to the Ed Block award, it goes to the player that other teammates believe overcame the most ADVERSITY. With that being said, after coming back from the type of surgery that RGIII came back from, particularly in the timeframe that he did, I think it's pretty obvious to see how and why he was given the Ed Block award. It's not like RGIII won the award for "the player you want to socialize with the most off the field" I do acknowledge that he did win the Ed Block award however and his teammates awarding him with it.http://www.********.com/news-and-ev...e-Winner/4e2f0a1b-0f7f-43d3-87d4-7cc35012669f
And yet is teammates voted for him to receive the Ed Block award.
The media did the same crap to killa cam last year. I don't believe anything in the media anymore.
"Just give a black man a chance" son is a second year QB. Let him breathe.
I do at times think black athletes, more specifically QB's get treated unfairly in the media. However, in this particular situation I personally do not think that is the case, just my opinion. Let me just say this, and this statement doesn't just apply to RGIII but anybody else in life for that matter......."sometimes perception is reality" With that being said during the off-season RGIII is going to have to take a good look in the mirror and ask himself how and why this "perception" of him is out there. If and once he does that, and more importantly addresses it maybe, just maybe his troubles will be washed away.Let me ask you...in the case of black athletes, more specifically QBs, do you think they are treated unfairly in the media? I hate to make it a racial issue, but I do think there is a double-standard to some extent. I have NEVER seen a character assassination to this degree of any QB who hasn't been arrested than what RG3 is going through. Cam went through it with his smile...Kap went through it with his tats...McNabb and Vick had their downs as well...seems to be par for the course if you ask me. But it's unfair.
