Bringing in a QB off the streets who doesn't know the system in week 17 isn't too bright. Kitna knows the system so he was the best option.

Lets keep in mind that this is due to the fact that the Cowboys don't have a third QB on the roster.

I guess they wanted someone who knew the offense but that seems dumb to me; he is 41 and hasn't played a football in over 2 years

Kitna? Thought he was coaching at high school somewhere. That's 3 picks minimum.

dont underestimate high school coaches

It's really pick your poison.

Choose a younger QB and expect him to learn Garrett's complicated *** offense that not even the veterans have grasped after seven years in 3 days, or bring in someone that has an understanding of the system and hasn't played in 2 years.

pretty wild it's week 17 and the Chiefs are the only team with a locked in seeding at #5

Stephen McGhee to the rescue?

Just a heads up, A Football Life on Vince Lombardi (part one) is on now on NFLN.

^ Good look. Was just looking for something interesting to watch.

I heard a doctor on the radio saying Romo could potentially miss next season from what he understands from the info released so far

He said surgery for this kind of disk is usually about 50/50 success rate to return an athlete to their ability pre-injury

Romo haters are about to get their wish....

And they're going to be very disappointed when Dallas is bottom of the barrel with no QB...

:lol :lol

Jerry swears he's gonna strike "gold" with another undrafted/7th round pick at QB. It's not gonna happen.

Kitna is only here as insurance if Orton goes down, but regardless, its a lose/lose situation with Kitna or bringing in another QB to learn the offense.

I've read reports Romo would recover 100% after the surgery. But that's irrelevant. 33 years old and possible back problems cannot be spun in any positive light. Not as if Romo is a pure pocket passer either.

Add in the fact that this possibly gives Jason Garrett another year, and Romo's injury is bigger than just week 17.

On another note, the fact that the football season in general is coming to an end already has me depressed. Less than two months left before the off season.

That means yall need to chill with the "Sunday needs to hurry and get here" :lol

Merry Christmas to all.

I tend to agree as much as I hate the Cowboys; Romo is a good QB and I think he'd thrive on a team that actually knows what the hell they were doing

Jerry has ruined that team; Purcells was building something and Jerry destroyed it

Kobe Romo really hurt the team with that contract. :{
i see what you did there . but is it Kobe Romo huring the team or is it the LA Lakeboys hurting the team ?
:lol

modern medicine and practice is amazing, so I feel there's a chance Romo comes back 100. I mean didn't peyton come back from what could have been career ending spine injuries just a season ago?

After hearing all that talk I thought dude might actually die out there.

Happy Christmas everyone. Just finished the family feast. Home country food

Signed Kitna to get another QB on the roster for practice. If Romo doesn't play, Orton will be starting.
