I understand the impact of injuries to Melton, Peanut, and Briggs. Plus the loss of Urlacher's leadership. But this is not a typical Chicago Bears defense.

There isn't a good LB outside of Briggs. And Trestman needs to improve the safety position.

Does it make sense to commit a long-term deal/money to Cutler. He's a franchise QB no doubt, but at Soldier the expectation is Super Bowls.

I think he stays too.  With a reasonable deal for both sides.  Just have a sense of it.

He hasn't increased his value to get a huge offer, he likes Trestman & is in a great situation with his receivers, and doesn't seem like a guy who needs to move around.

Meanwhile the Bears need to spend their draft picks on defense.

QB's are a premium so I think the Bears are gonna have to pay him a deal more favorable to him

He's turning 31. Guessing he asks for 5 years minimum. 6 more likely his request depending how good his agent is.

But would Cutler take a pay cut to stay in Chicago?  It's a great situation for a QB- two star wideouts, a good (now) O-line and running game, one of the best offensive coaches around.  Plus the city likes him.  What are his alternatives?  Cleveland?  Jets?  Raiders?  Titans?  I think he's unhappy if he has to move.

Antonio Brown's desperate last second play for the Steelers reminded me of Dyson for the Titans. Or Mason. Forgot who it was against. Buffalo, maybe?

MMG: Houston didn't hold up their end for a potential SB showdown with my Eagles.

Love that McNair backed Smith. Would be a mistake to let him go.
That's the Music City Miracle, c'mon man.  All-time classic play.

Steve McNair Titans :hat

It's a travesty that Oilers stats and records from the mid 90's and back have Tennessee plastered all over them

651: We been on the same page since day one with Brazill and Rogers. Them boys flourishing to Hilton's chagrin.

For sure...A little more maturity/experience and Luck will have them rolling. They need some help on that O-line and probably another RB though.

Nonetheless, they're on the right track.

Sorry about Gronk, DSA.

I want him to stay healthy and challenge Jimmy for Gonzo's title as best TE of all-time.

it's a damn shame. dude can't catch a break. was killing weekly since returning.

hopefully he comes back with some better luck

yo, that bruins pens game on saturday tho :eek

thing is "THE Gronk" is better than Jimmy IMO

Jimmy doesnt command a double/triple team to stop him and even then Gronk will still make the catch and continue on

We have seen it alone this year at least 2-3 times where Jimmy has been stopped just on single coverage

Gronk since he came into the league has just one person holding him back and that is himself and the injuries

dude is just too big for his own good sometimes :{

When has Jimmy been locked down when he wasn't hurt?

Gronk can actually block (very well, I might add).  Jimmy is just a great WR.

I'm tired of hearing all this snow talk for the SB this year. It can get pretty mild in the NYC area in February. There is no guarantee it will snow, and there's no guarantee it won't. I'm just tired of the assumption that it will. /minirant
