I mean....That's a team that has given up right there. Three defenders with a real opportunity for a tackle, but piss poor effort and a first down. I hate that. :{

You're saying that if you are a DC you're telling your team "We want to prove a point to Goodell, so every time we hit this QB we want to hit him as hard as possible even if its illegal."

If I'm the opposing coach I'm laughing at you because every time you reach my QB we gain 15 yards in penalties.  I'm telling my team "Just wrap him up."  No coach is going to lose himself games to try and prove some point to Roger Goodell.

Past teams are glorified because people weren't aware of the risks of helmet to helmet hits, spine injuries, concussions back then.  You want glory you should pull up videos of these guys today, they're not looking so tough anymore.

I personally don't like the way that Quarterbacks are singled out and protected, but the whole "wussification" rant is just stupid to me.  Eliminating helmet to helmet and many of the changes are good things, it's too bad it doesn't make you feel as tough watching it, but football is still a violent and physical game and I certainly enjoy it.

:rolleyes  Like guys are really out here claiming that if they can't see someone lead with his head or play with a concussion the game isn't fun for them anymore.

Your looking at it with the glass half full. Its not about being tough or it being violent. Its about an even level playing field. If your blind to the fact that the league caters to the offensive side of the ball then I don't know what to say.

If the 49ers play the saints in January and someone gets what should be a legal hit on Brees and he gets knocked out the game that 15 yard penalty is worth it.

Some penalties are worth it. I'm a 49er fan. I had no problem with clay Matthews late hit on kaepernick in week 1 because it sends a message. Try that running stuff and your going to get hit.

No one wants injuries but there has Been a level of wussificaton in the NFL whether you want to admit it or not.

But hey be overly strict on the defensive players, try and force your way into getting an 18 game season which subject players to 2 more games of getting hit and tackled all while glorifying an era of play that would be villifed today.

When former qb's are speaking out on how silly of a call that was yes it is wussificaton.

Matt Ryan needs to realize his line sucks and he should get rid of the damn ball.

Here's the problem. If he did just "get rid of" it then people would scream "Matty checkdown!" :lol

Nothing annoys me more than a QB who would rather take a sack in a key situation than try and make a play *cough* Alex Smith *cough*

Well...Ask Romo and Favre how the other side of things work.

I feel the same way to a point, but people will always find something, ya know?

N.O. is only at least splitting their next four games. Seattle, Carolina twice and STL. And I wouldn't even say STL is their for sure win. Not even close, actually.

I don't want Tony G to go out like this. I wouldn't even mind if he went to the dam Pats next season :{

That sack on Matt Ryan was worse than brooks hit on brees but it was a nocall? NFL smh

Falcons fans were the most cocky, annoying **** talking fans on this entire board before this season started. I haven't heard a peep from them.

Seahawk fans probably post on here the most now but atleast some of them seem knowledgeable about things other than their own team. Falcons fans would just pop in with some of the most ignorant **** possible with a bunch of spelling mistakes.

I genuinely don't think Seahawks fans talk that much **** about our own team.  I'm certainly not trying to jinx my squad by saying we're going to the Super Bowl or stomping the NFC/Matty Ice is better than Drew Brees, or whatever Keithdajuiceman and all were going with.

As far as 9ers fans go, NobleKane, I think I'm mostly content to let you guys just wallow in the wrongness of your own proclamations about this particular season.
