I just looked at the Kings draft pick history and this is only the 6th time they've picked #7?! I could have sworn that as their chosen spot in the draft every single year.

Oh well... 3 of the picks were Lionell Simmons, Bobby Hurley, & Jason Williams. I'm still bummed Hurley's career ended so early. I remember the night they found him in ditch in Natomas. It was a sad time.

The more I look at the list of players the more I start hoping for a scenario like this....

Kings trade 7 to Jazz 14 and 21. Probably other pieces involved in a trade like this, but I feel like there might be someone the Jazz want at 7 that slips and maybe we could go for two players in similar range. Maybe get a euro player to wait on and a small forward around 14.

It'll open to start the '16-'17 season. The downtown plaza site is the most ideal since it'll generate more business, produce more jobs, and bunch of other bap, bap, bap.

They need suitable land. At the DP site, there's plenty of parking and mass transit. Plus there's a willing seller for the land, which is a huge part. I would have liked it at the rail yard since it would should have vitalized the Downtown Plaza area too, but the land it too toxic so it won't work. Plus... and don't quote me on this... since West Sacramento is in an entirely different county, Sacramento city and county wouldn't get some of the revenue from the arena if it were put downtown instead since they wouldn't be able to collect property taxes among other things.
