nah man.. sports is the primary reason i dont give a crap what folks gotta say about me.. the stuff that got said about my mother, sister, girlfriend (even if i didnt have one) in the name of trash talk

i mean either you going respond in kind, check the person (and pretty hard to go all 'jay and silent bob' on the internet or opposing fans) or laugh it of

hell, it's half the reason i dont give a F when it came to talking to girls.. what's the worse that can happen, chick says no.. but ya miss every shot ya dont take and remember all you need is 1 hit for a great night

what does you playing sports as a youth have to do with the stress of being a professional athlete tho?

like in general we're talking about some of the most popular people on earth here.

I'm guessing you didn't play competitive sports growing up because these two subjects are where 90% of trash talk comes from.
Trash talking in a game against your opponent does not equate to getting provoked by random strangers on the internet or in the streets

Didnt you just post this an hour ago

When I played basketball I rarely heard dudes bring up family in trash talk. The few it did dudes was throwing hands. That's a unwritten rule.

Pro athletes should already understand what comes with it. I get it, you human too but why would you stress yourself out over little ****? People talk **** on the internet is nothing.

There's levels to it trey lol
It takes a near perfect situation to insult me
Most of the time it doesn't merit any response from me, it's just that if I know they trying to actually be serious and I know that dude personally, I'm going to tell him to cut it out.

what does you playing sports as a youth have to do with the stress of being a professional athlete tho?

that goes to my point..

check what i said above.. given what these dudes would have been hearing from when they were kids to now that they are pros, from opposing fans, other players and even their own fans..

i would have thought they would have been prepared to handle social media..

I get that not everyone is built for criticism.. but I'm sure lacy has been hearing from every single fan base in the nfc north for years.. I'm sure players talk shh to him all the time about his weight

And I could even understand someone coming to their breaking point.. but if I would have said the folks i think are most prepared to deal with crap talk on the internet, I would say athletes or comedians first

Really?
What if they go disrespect your mom's name in front of your face?

I don't believe that you wouldn't be a little mad about that.
I would send the comments to my mother. My mother has better joking and clowning skills than me. My mother can roast.

Speaking of trash talk, y'all think Carmelo went too hard when KG called his wife a honey nut cheerio?

My mother legit didn't really have to spank my sister and I that much when we were kids because her mouth piece is vicious. She can say stuff that will make you want to cry:rofl:. There were many times when I would get in trouble and my mom would roast me and my sister would be howling, or there would be times when she would roast my sister and I would be howling. Momma jokes don't get to me because my momma has jokes for days lol. If I were an NFL player I would legit have my mother run my social media accounts.

Speaking of trash talk, y'all think Carmelo went too hard when KG called his wife a honey nut cheerio?

to be honest, it depends on how close to home some of this stuff gets.. like if you suspect your wife been out there in them streets and some dude start cracking jokes, well kinda hard to brush that of

but that's why sometimes you're better off being one of the quiet dudes out there and ignore dudes when they start talking.. turn all of that into white noise
