Now that Biyombo & Ezeli are gunna get 15+ mil a year, you gotta go with the full court press on Whiteside. If you miss, I like Mahimi or Noah as a short term solution until we find the right center.

Love Noah, but he's probably got better options than LA.
It's insane how the the term 'max contract' is being thrown around so loosely by these "insiders". FA are going to get over payed this summer but no team will give Batum, Barnes, or Ezeli a max. Even the wording of that tweet annoys me. Biyombo can ball out next game, or all through the finals if hell freezes over, and he still wont get max money.

Tristian Thompson got 80M right before the cap we up. While I don't think Ezeli will get a max contract, I wouldn't be surprised at all if Batum or Barnes does.

Or you could just super overpay for a yr at like $20M so the team doesn't tie years into him. Gives him incentive to play hard (even though he naturally does) to get another payday.

They missed on Kristaps, didn't believe their eyes. D'lo came in and put on a show and they went with the safer risk. I predict the same will be for Brandon/Ben.

Porzingis isn't Porzingis on the Lakers though. He found the best situation for him in the Knicks by having a dynamic scorer in Melo next to him.
Also don't think they missed on him either.
Had a great start, and leveled off a lot as the season progressed. Could be Kurt Rambis' fault at least partially, but also could have been teams adjusting on him.
Nonetheless a good prospect. Didn't miss though. And if they did far too early to tell.
