let this thread die (NYK)

Glad that boomer and carton and the papers are airing out this piece of %$!# franchise

They knew for quite some timemabout the injury. Kept lying about it being day to day. +$++$ playing games with the fans.

You have to get your playoff money in by march 28th If you are a season ticket holder. which is dumb because if u own season tixx you would buy it no matter if Lin is playing or not

The Knicks were eventually going to get around to revealing the troubling results of Jeremy Lin’s MRI but certainly not before last Wednesday. That was a crucial day inside the club’s executive offices at Two Penn Plaza because March 28 represented the deadline for season- ticket holders to purchase all four rounds of the playoffs. In fact, in the email sent to subscribers, there is a picture of Lin leaping in celebration. Yet, it was two days before the deadline when Lin and the Knicks’ medical staff learned that the second-year point guard/cash cow was suffering from a torn meniscus in his left knee and that he wouldn’t be jumping for joy anytime soon.Although Lin waited until Saturday before formally making the decision to have surgery, it certainly made business sense for the organization to withhold medical information about its marquee attraction. But that doesn’t explain why the Knicks, who are 2½ games ahead of Milwaukee for the eighth and final playoff spot with 13 games left, weren’t forthcoming about Lin's condition after Wednesday’s postseason ticket deadline passed.Nor does it explain why the Knicks contradicted interim head coach Mike Woodson, who first raised the possibility of Lin’s “sore

The fact that the knicks public relations staff is openly contradicting our coach is even more worrisome than the money aspect. Top coaches don't want to deal with that kind of +!!!. Makes us look like a joke unprofessional franchise

We just seem to have alot of dumb, shady people consistently in the franchise since dolans here. It isn't gonna stop

Woodson is a solid person. He'll still do his job and do it the best he can.

feels good to see him destroy the favorites to win it all like he does us every game.
word.

...

I guess I'll be in the minority and say that the Lin injury is actually good for us. Don't get me wrong, I like Lin. I love what he did for the Knicks season. He basically saved it with his Linsanity run.

First, there was the problem we had for a short time where we had TOO MANY players at one point. I feel like with this injury we can go into the play-offs with a better "play-off roster". And a better play-off rotation. To me, more key then Amare coming back is Jeffries coming back. With they way Harrellson is starting to look on the D, we could end up with a VERY good defense going into the playoffs and that's what's going to win games in the play-offs. Grind it out games that come down to the wire and with Melo as a closer we will be a tough out.

Looking forward to the playoffs, I feel like Lin would have been exposed and would have been more of a detriment to our team. Playoffs series are all about adjustments and we're most likely going to be playing either the Heat or Bulls in the 1st round and they will be very well coached. I'm confident in Woodson's ability to make adjustments as well. I feel like a combination of Baron Davis, Shumpert, J.R. and Toney Douglas (yes, T.D.) handling the ball will be more consistent and safer.

On defense I feel like Lin did play hard and made things happen on that end to force turnovers, but Shumpert has shown that he's a top guard defender in the L and he and J.R. are tough on the wings together and will be exactly what we need in the offs. Plus those are the 2 guys that are likely to be closing game along with Baron at the guard positions.

Again, I like Lin I think he's going to get better and I hope he can come back healthier then he ever was. I would be fine with bringing him back next season as well. But if he's able to come back for a possible 2nd round, I wouldn't do that either.

The problem is that lin could have used the playoff experiance badly
so instead of getting exposed and learning from it this year, he's just gonna get exposed NEXT year.

i wanted him to see real playoff action

Won't matter either way. He'll come back not ready and we'll lose 3 straight.

After thinking about it though, I feel like Lin will be WAY better prepared next year going into the playoffs then he would have been this year going into the playoffs even with out this year's experience. Obviously more regular season games will help, but I'm looking for some improvements.

I want to see more patience from Lin. He rushes a lot of stuff. That's what will keep the turnovers down.

He needs a mid-range pull-up and go to move instead of the penetrate, get in the air and create move. He gets stuck too many times trying to force himself to the hole. A pull-up jumper and a floater would do wonders.

I also want a little bit more muscle up top. I think he should maybe put on close to 10 lbs.

if i told my self 2 years ago i would be anxiously waiting for Jared Jeffries to come back from an injury i mighta died from laughter, but dam how times have changed

CABLEVISION SYSTEMS COPORATION AND THE MADISON SQUARE GARDEN COMPANY ISSUE STATEMENTS ON NEW YORK DAILY NEWS

Bethpage and New York, N.Y., April 2, 2012 – Cablevision Systems Corporation and The Madison Square Garden Company today issued the following statements on the New York Daily News:

Cablevision Systems Corporation statement: “Today’s story in the New York Daily News is just another in a long list of articles and cover stories designed to provoke Cablevision and The Madison Square Garden Company. Mr. Zuckerman has engaged in a campaign of intimidation and extortion to effect a merger between Newsday and the Daily News. He has made repeated overtures to Mr. Dolan and his executives to combine the operations with joint ownership and shared printing and editorial expense. This proposal was rejected multiple times. In fact, at a Four Seasons lunch meeting on March 6, Mr. Zuckerman once again made his proposal, this time adding that “the bad press would end if we became joint owners

They still listed him day to day for a long period of time so I don't trust amybody. Both scum
