Leonardo DiCaprio is the best actor of our generation.

Leo's best acting performance was 'The Aviator' thats the only movie he was robbed for.. he did win the Golden Globe for best actor though.

I am not crapping on Jamie Foxx but I feel like Ray was more of an impression than acting.

Lol I like gosling but am I the only one who feels like he barely speaks in all of his movies?

In drive dude was just creepy and quiet as hell.

I honestly don't get Ryan Gosling. I mean he doesn't suck but I don't think he is that great.

when DDL feels like working, he puts out classics

depp>leo

ryan gosling gonna give these guys a run when it's all said and done. #dreamy

Depp IS NOT better than Leo.

Depp plays the same bizarre, quarky character every time.

I will say Depp has a huge range in characters whether it be Jack Sparrow to Willy Wonka or his character in Public Enemies. Leo has range too but I find it all around dramatic characters.....although his character in Django wasn't too dramatic.

Jack Sparrow to Willy Wonka to Tonto to Todd Sweeny... that isn't range to me as it is a slight twist on the same type of character.

Depp over-saturated the market with himself, IMO.

Regarding Gosling, only Drive and The Place Beyond the Pines did he have limited dialogue.

His best works by far are Blue Valentine and Half Nelson. You can't give him a fair assessment without watching those two films in my opinion.

The amount of feels in Blue Valentine bruh smh

But you are only mentioning his current films. What about Blow? No character masking and just straight acting and good story. Still one of my favorite movies to this day. There's Donnie Brasco, Once Upon A Time In Mexico, Chocolat......okay, I added Chocolat just for the hell of it.

Leo is the best movie star but DDL is the best actor. Leo has been a huge star since Titanic but he is still a great actor who usually picks great roles in great films. Usually when guys get as big as Leo they start to do less interesting films and take less interesting roles but Leo has done some of his best stuff since blowing up. DDL though is straight up the most talented actor though, he becomes that person during the film on and off the set. His talent is matched by none.

I get why people like DDL because of his method acting but to me, I think it is a little over the top. For some roles, I could see it making sense but for some, I really think it's unnecessary. Like in his movie Nine, did he do method acting for that? Would it be even necessary? I like DDL but i feel like he makes too few movies for some reason. Leo not only makes a decent amount of movies but he's pretty good in all of them and doesn't even have to do the whole method thing.

But Leo used method acting for Django, one of his better performances
